Don’t worry hillbilly Kobe was signed to save the day instead of ENNIS
We’re really hurting at back up forward now!
ENNIS woulda at least been serviceable! _________________ My Laker squad.

Ariza is done, recovery is more difficult with age. We
will need a long 3 & D SF. Ido u to Ariza will be able to
provide much, if anything, down the road.
Small edit; not another 6’5” player. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team !
Otto Porter has played 14 and 28 games the last 2 years due to injuries.
He is in need to rehab his reputation. He may have not wanted to play for the Lakers as he needs the opportunity to secure court time. He has one last chance for another payday and GSW may have been his preferred choice.
Luckily the Lakers signed some good wing depth to back up their 36 year old starting forward. _________________ If Brandon Knight were to come out, I would take him number 1 in the draft. - Magic Johnson Mar 27, 2011

I have the impression the Lakers want to keep the runway clear for THT. Signed Trevor who doesn’t have the durability to be a regular over 82, and didn’t bring in another guy with wing speed and length.
With Trevor out, it will be interesting to see if they reach for a safety blanket signing, or roll the dice with Tucker. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night.

That’s fine & dandy, THT is probably ready for at least 25-30 minutes per game, but I still think they need to sign a forward that get defend… _________________ My Laker squad.

Maybe the first time I've felt I made the clear right call in advance over a GM's decision.
Why does Pelinka not take the lack of forward depth seriously enough? Our backup players have been abused on the boards because we have rotations where 6'5" rookie Reeves is our power forward (and sometimes smaller than that!).
We have very little depth with size for the 3 and 4 positions and that's a huge issue, especially now that Ariza is a scratch for the foreseeable future. Carmelo and... who else off the bench?

I recall saying not to expect too much more from Ariza than what we got from Dudley. For sure Ariza had a better season than Dudz last year, but in terms of their ages and production decline and what they could realistically bring, I expect Ariza to bring something a little more than what Dudley brought in year 1 of his 2 year Laker tenure. With this news, it confirms that. Did not think Ariza was going to be a big minute player for us, but situational wise he can be very useful in some match ups where we need some wing defense.
Just happy that Melo is showing he can still score significantly. We can go back at teams with our wings now. Kuz sometimes could, but was not a consistent threat.
