Who do you think was the best Lakers center ever? I think it comes down to 3 but that's JMO. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.
What’s the argument for Wilt over Shaq? Shaq was with the Lakers longer, actually played here during his physical peak and was more successful. _________________ If Brandon Knight were to come out, I would take him number 1 in the draft. - Magic Johnson Mar 27, 2011
For all of you out there questioning Jimmer Fredette of BYU, he is the real deal. - Magic Johnson Mar 20, 2011

Kareem is first.
Wilt was the second most talented center and set all kinds of crazy records but only got one ring.
Shaq was the most physically dominant but got multiple rings.
Depends on what you value more. Skills or rings.
Chamberlain holds 72 NBA records, 68 by himself.[8] Among his records are several that are considered unbreakable, such as averaging 22.9 rebounds for a career or 50.4 points per game in a season, scoring 100 points or 55 rebounds in a single game, scoring 65 or more points 15 times, 50 or more points 118 times.[7][9] During Chamberlain's time, defensive statistics like blocks and steals had not been recorded yet. However, according to Jack Ramsay, "Harvey [Pollack] said he used to tell one of his statisticians to keep track of Wilt's blocks in big games ... One night, they got up to 25."
The question is best Lakers center not best overall career or most skilled. You can legitimately argue Wilt's career > Shaq's careeer but Shaq as a Laker >>> Wilt as a Laker. In terms of Lakers career, Kareem is the best. In terms of peak performance as a Laker it's Shaq. He destroyed teams with overwhelming force.
They went to, what?, five straight finals with Wilt? 1969 to 1973.
Wilt completely changed his game three (3) times; Warriors, Wilt became the greatest scoring center in history, led the league in scoring; Sixers, Wilt became the greatest passing center in history, led the league in assists; Lakers, Wilt became the greatest defensive center in history, led the league in field goal percentage.
They arguably got the best version of Wilt.
You ever see Shaq do this?
How often did Shaq miss games with nagging injuries, hurt toe?, Wilt won a title with a broken hand.
Wilt went to five finals with the Lakers but Shaq won three in a row. For me Wilt would have had to have dominated multiple finals in a Lakers uniform to get the nod over Shaq as a better Lakers center.
