It's easy throwing Rondo into trade scenarios right now. The hard thing is getting another team to think that receiving Rondo in a trade scenario is somehow a positive for them |
he was valuable with his experience and leadership when the Clippers made there run at the WCF. |
Lmao. He was terrible for the Clippers. They couldn’t wait to get rid of him. |

Wait we were all sad when the Bull signed Stanley Johnson away. Now we’re mad when the Lakers brought him back? _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant |

Rondo deserves all the credit in the world for being playoff Rondo in our ring run, but he’s clearly been done. He was terrible last season for the Clippers (didn’t watch him on the Hawks), and he’s been a dumpster fire almost every time he’s gotten on the floor for us outside of a few possessions where he lobs to AD. |

Don't know how much to expect from these two guys, but it's worth a try. I would rather have Collison than Isaiah Thomas.
Wasn't Collison a good defender before he left the game? |

Finally some guys that Vogel can put out there that are not completely bull (bleep) defenders like Thomas, and the rest of the signings we have had so far. I like the story of IT, but he's not a defender.
Have no clue where DC is at in his career, but from what I recall of him, he was a defender in his career, and Stanley was a defender in college. Neither guy is a rotation player in usual situations, but could give the Lakers some better minutes than the crap we've been getting. |

Collison was actually a really good solid player before religion became apart of his life, not anything like IT leaving the game a few years ago because he didn’t provide enough for NBA teams, I have no idea why Laker fans are brushing off the Darren Collison signing and not generating more excitement like he’s just gonna be here for 10 days and get waived the dude can actually play and proved it when he was playing just a couple of years ago. |

As far as leadership his input was valuable for a Clippers team that didn’t know what it took to make a deep playoff run, I have no idea why my statement is so far fetched, his days of contributing might be over but he’s still a good leader. |

Also makes you think about Nunn... If he some how stays pass his 10 days and Nunn comes back. I don't see the need of having all those guys. Unless Nunn is not come back anytime soon or he is being thrown in as an asset for a trade. |

These are actually decent signings, unlike our last 10 day signings. We just gotta see if Fitzdale plays them. |

We're just throwing crap at the wall at this point and trying to see what sticks.
The team does a major overhaul every season....no wonder the continuity and chemistry is garbage. Can't wait to see the 12 new players we bring in next season. Smh _________________ "Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same." |

This is a good question, I have no idea what’s gonna happen with Kendrick Nunn but like you said if Collison ends up ballin out for us it means Nunn can share the back up with Collison or get traded, we will have to wait and see but I’m confident Collison will stick around, not sure about Stanley Johnson yet. |

I don't get why people think a guy that shoots worse than Smush Parker or Devean George is going to be an asset.
I get that we need some length... but at least Collison and IT can score.
Tony Allen, Bruce Bowen, Andre Roberson... all of these defensive specialists couldn't score either but at least when they did they shot 10% better than Stanley Johnson.
I don't get why Stanley Johnson can't score either. He was okay at Arizona... he's also a decent free throw shooter.
But his NBA efficiency has been epically poor.
It just irritates me that people complain about IT's defense when to use someone that poor on offense is just as much of a liability.
I hope Collison still has something left. I hope IT gets another chance.
He probably knows if he has one more bad game he's out of the league and it can't be easy to shoot from range with that hanging over your head. |

If (I know its a big if) Collison is close to what he was when he left, he will be a good signing. |

Curious to see how Collison looks at least |
Maybe he pushes Rondo out (of the rotation) at least. Probably not a good sign about Nunn. _________________ Under New Management |

On this Lakers team that's not true.
Stanley Johnson's problem is that he's merely okay to good on defense while being terrible offensively. If he was great on defense, he probably would have a regular NBA gig despite being so bad on offense. _________________ Under New Management |

Ideally, 2 sides (offensive and defense) cohesively should act within 1, but if it is 1 or the other, defense should reign supreme. Stanley can catch heat and start hitting at an efficient rate. IT could never be a good defender and he will always be more of a liability when he is not scoring; like the past 2 games; opposed to a defender that is not scoring. We have enough fire power around Stanley Johnson. He is not a great defender, probably why e doesn't have job in the NBA, but he can possibly fill in a need for the Lakers. IT is redundant to what we have in Monk and Melo. |

The team didn't lose to Phoenix because IT was sucking on defense. The game was out of reach when people started blowing by him at the end of the game. DAJ was horrible... THT and IT were as cold as ice... and we were still in the game until LBJ turned his ankle and Russ threw those two momentum killing turnovers.
IT played under control and looked competent other than missing wide open shots. He drove to the rim and looked more like his old self and didn't make any dumb passes. Had he made those shots, it would be a totally different narrative.
I want to see what Collison can do... but I have a soft spot for IT because unlike some of the journeymen on the team... he actually is a talented player.
People keep crowing about how great AD is on defense... but he wasn't doing anything to stop the bleeding when we fell to 27th on defense.
It's never just one guy... and my argument is that while Stanley Johnson might be more effective in a switchable defense, he can't really score so the other team can focus more on our offensive threats... it works both ways.
IT was cold, but teams still had to worry about his shot and penetration.
I wouldn't make him a starter... but he would be a good man to have off the bench like Lou Williams when we needed scoring. |

It's a team game, so it isn't all on IT, but we are talking about IT's ability and inability. What did IT provide when he was not scoring in the last 2 games? |

Yes. He was considered a good defender. I've watched him since his UCLA & Indiana days. I was extremely excited at the prospects of signing him.....two years ago.
Now, I have to wait and see. But, if my hunch is on point, once he shakes off the rust, and acclimates to the team, he could turn out to be a great addition. No wear on his body for a couple of seasons, and it's not like you lose your talent. |
