Dwight / Stan better options. Stop the bleeding and score after stops. The Pacers were drilling shot after shot while Lakers went cold, and even when the Lakers started scoring, they could not stop the Pacers...so, the answer was to...put in more offense?

There was no point to bring in melo for offense because they just give lebron the ball and watch him Brick the 3 anyways. The rebounds and open 3s we gave up was not even worth it. We lost because levert got hot, either reaves or Stanley should’ve been guarding him

Exactly...so, why bring in Melo?

It's literally like if youre playing football, having trouble running the ball, its 4th and 1, team decides to go for it...by taking out the TE, going with just 5 O linemen, and running the ball up the gut against a 9 man front. It's like...huh?

Not many options, but Melo to close out the game knowing you need stops...

Anyone hear the rationale to bring him in?

They know it’s not the coach

For weeks now we’ve heard Pelinka has been working the trade market. Russ, THT, Rondo, Dwight, Baze, Jordan, they’ve even been looking at dealing a guy who hasn’t played this year (Nunn). Rondo was happy about the opportunity to move on to Cleveland (let that set in).

They know they effed this roster up.

After that statement either Vogel is getting fired or Westbrook is getting traded or both will be the scapegoat.

THT had the alley oop to Lebron and Monk and was shutting down Lavert. Vogel brings in Russ around 7:15 and Pacers go on a 30-19 run.

Lakers twitter and reddit going on all in on firing Vogel seems so strange. Seriously, what's that gonna accomplish?

Nothing.

There's nothing to do about it now, that would only add more chaos. It's not like there's anyone good available that's why I guess Rambis is rumored to be in the mix. We might as well let it ride until the off-season.

Exactly nothing will change.

especially since it will be David Fizdale who replaces him. yea no thanks

It was inevitable once Levert got wise and stopped fouling. They didn’t even need Brogdon. Had Levert been playing the entire game… welp

To be fair, this has little to do with Russ in the 4th, he barely played. It has more to do with Vogel playing melo for 30 minutes

No one seems to be asking him about it. Now they're talking about losses/disappointments/how to bounce back, etc.

Our defensive energy stopped right before the half and LaVert & the Pacers saw the lack of energy

Maybe that's why Vogel is going YOLO and just doing what he wants. Lol.

He’s been doing it all year. His rotations have been bad all year long. I think he came into the season not caring. He’s on a one year contract, right? He didn’t get a multi-year contract

Agreed. But I do think as I've said many times he's stubborn. And he is doubling down on the small ball line up despite people apparently telling him directly to his face to play big. I think he's figured that if he's going to get fired he's going to get fired doing what he wants to do.

EDIT - and lots of folks on Twitter apparently agree with me. That post game presser was a "do whatever y'all want, imma do me" presser.
