Where are the Lebron haters now?
Not top 10? Ha! Laughably dumb to not see that he still is, if not top 5.

It’s amazing that lebron had to be hit that hard to get foul calls every game.

Fortunately Westbrook didn't cost us the game with those down the stretch turnovers

LeBron on fire and Westbrook refuses to pass it to him, instead turning it over trying to pass to Monk.

LeBron James had 56 points, 10 boards, 3 assists in the Lakers’ win over the Warriors. He shot 19-31 (61.3%) from the field, 6-11 (54.5%) from three and 12-13 (92.3%) from the FT line.
Only one other player age-37 or older had 51+ points in a game: Kobe Bryant in his final game.

They kind of have to be the 8th seed first.
It is certainly possible, maybe Russ went on a super hot streak in the playoffs, and Ad back to bubble AD, lebron being lebron without knee issues, 1-3 of our role players start to make open 3s, and we suddenly become a good defensive team

Kobe's moment was better no doubt. Last game of his career. Struggled all night, but kept shooting. Then catches fire and gets the win. As a fan watching it, that meant a lot more.

In terms of the actual performance though, you have to go with Lebron's efficient 19-31, along with 10 boards. Kobe struggled most of his final game, even after catching fire late he finished 22-50.

Well, Lebron performed at a far high level on this game than Kobe did in his last one. But no one cares that Kobe shot 22 for 50 or 6 for 21 from 3s. Fans just five highed each other that he got 60. It was less a basketball game than a celebration of his career. But so what? Wilt's 100 point game was less a basketball game than a circus for anyone who knows the details. People forget the details and remember what they want to remember

So, yeah, as a piece of basketball, this game by Lebron was far more impressive. As a piece of history and memorabilia, Kobe's game was more impressive.

Kobe's 60 and it's NOT EVEN CLOSE. Kobe's was WAY more iconic, comparable to his 81. 50 years from now people will still remember Kobe's 60 while this will be just another of many great games by LeBron. Kobe's will always be mentioned in the short list of Greatest Final Performance by any athlete in any sport EVER.

Kobe's was in the FINAL GAME of his career, in his 20th season. The game had media attention/presence comparable to an NBA Finals. The stands were filled with every celebrity ever, all of Kobe's ex-teammates and Lakers legends.

The degree of difficulty for Kobe's was greater since he was physically a shell of his former self after 3 consecutive injury-ending seasons. Not to mention he had one of the worst Lakers supporting casts ever.

The only points that LeBron's performance has in his favor are: efficiency, rebounds, and opponent.

MJ had 51 in 2001 (pre-handchecking rule changes) at age 38 and 315 days.

Jamal Crawford had 51 in 2019 at age 39.

Shocker, we're doing a Kobe vs Lebron variation.

That said, Kobe's was obviously the bigger deal given the context. Truly the perfect send off

Why? Why do we do this to ourselves? They’re both different and have different implications/motives.

Ya we just need a Lebron to average 56 points a game for the remainder of the season.

Kobe's 60 was more impressive in a way that Lebron is still one of the top 10 players in the NBA. I was not surprised he put up 56 points and I don't think this will be his last 50+ points performance.
