LeBron said he’s going to salvage this miserable season with a scoring title

Melo with 3 rebounds in 27 minutes on a night we almost get out rebounded by 20. This team is too old

That is the big problem. And even someone like AD who is still under 30 has his best days behind him.

Lebron stat padding in a hopeless game is disgusting.

Developing THT just to likely trade him to get rid of Russ. Sigh….

This one looked like a sucker bet, if it had been Toronto -13 or more I would have bet the Lakers.

Score looks respectable now (by Lakers standards) but most of the 1st quarter was beyond disgusting

Again, ANOTHER game the Lakers would have been in if not for a crap 1st quarter.

It's always either the 1st or the 3rd with this team.

I mean… our starting lineup was way too short. It’s also time to acknowledge that Stanley is a terrible rebounder. That doesn’t bold well for him in getting time in the future. Gabriel is the superior rebounder by far

We haven't seen an actual team in 2 years.

Two years sounds about right. That’s when Pelinka blew up a championship team

We would have repeated last year if AD didn't get hurt.

What we SHOULD have done was run it back, or make small changes like Hield to our roster where we wouldn't have given up as much.

Selling the whole barn, NOT bringing back guys, and getting Westbrook screwed us big time.

Imagine if we just ran it back with last year's roster but replacing Kuzma with Carmelo, KCP with Malik Monk, and trading Kuzma and KCP to Sacramento for Hield, or something to that extent.

That's what our moves should have been. Then the signing of Kendrick Nunn, keeping Andre Drummond. All that stuff would have helped us this season.

But we went for the "Big 3" idea, which blew any assets. Even still had we run it back this year I can't even guarantee that we WOULDN'T have traded for Westbrook at the deadline.

Richard Jefferson used to be teammates with LeBron and him questioning LeBron’s effort speaks volumes that he has quit on this team and is only playing for his own interests.

This was a great win today for LeBron: Vogal didn't sit him, and therefore he was able to get his 30 ppg quota. Let's go!

Don't we have one of the most difficult schedules to close the season? So yeah oogly. Losing those games that we had no business losing throughout the season is really coming back to hurt us.

If we ran it back with last year's roster but just added Monk and Carmelo in place of KCP and Kuzma and done the Buddy Hield trade instead.

Starters:
Dennis Schroeder
Buddy Hield
LeBron James
Anthony Davis
Andre Drummond

Bench:
Alex Caruso
Malik Monk
Ben McLemore
Carmelo Anthony
Montrezl Harrell

Would this roster have done better or worse than this season's?

The trade was Kuzma and Trez for Hield. So no Trez

KCP was still under contract so we would’ve traded him for an expiring or nothing?

THT still probably gets resigned.

Hindsight 20/20 but no way that roster does worse than what we have now
