He was (arguably) their best player for their only chip since prime Bird. And if you dont think he eas the best, then you have to concede he was the 2nd best, which is still good enough for a retired number. Would you rather face a Pelicans team or the Clippers team without Kawhi or the Lakers on a 2 game winning streak with a healthy AD/Bron?
The mistake KG is making is assuming the Lakers will get into the playoffs with 2 play in Ws.
Unless AD transforms into bubble AD these 2 wins ain’t happening. And I guess if they do, then KG has a point, a team much rather not face a healthy AD/Lebron duo with Franks defensive coaching.
