It's amazing what a dazzling 62 point Game can do for ones social standing lol

Per Shams

Sources: Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving will be cleared for home games as New York City will on Thursday change private sector vaccine mandate to allow exemption for athletes and entertainers in workplace. Unvaccinated Yankees and Mets players also now eligible for home games.

I had a feeling this was coming. The mandate was discriminatory. Allowing out-of-town players to play and not hometeam players was unfair. Brookly's roster, if healthy, has a very good chance to win the Larry O'Brien.

If they meet the Raptors in the first round he won't be able to play at Scotiabank Arena. The Raptors are fully vaccinated.

It’s funny how he was basically rewarded for his stubbornness and stupidity. Got a free paycheck and tons of rest this season and will get to play when it really matters.

The mask mandates are pretty much are gone from most major US metro areas. There was no legal way they could've forced him to get vaccinated. So in a way he did win.

I had a feeling the ban would be lifted. I harbored a feeling Adams was purposely delaying his decision to lift the ban.

The return of Kyrie is huge. They're the 8th seed. There's a chance they may move to 7th seed. Having to play the 1st or 2nd seed is a going to be a challenge.

If things remain as is they'll play the Heat 0/3 or the 76ers 1/3. They have a slight advantage by having a well rested Kyrie. Also, Kevin is also kinda rested because he's just coming back from an injury.

They have a relatively easy schedule. 6 of their last 10 games are at home.

March schedule

73 Wed, Mar 23, 2022 7:30 PM Brooklyn Nets at Memphis Grizzlies
74 Sat, Mar 26, 2022 8:00 PM Brooklyn Nets at Miami Heat
75 Sun, Mar 27, 2022 7:30 PM Brooklyn Nets vs Charlotte Hornets
76 Tue, Mar 29, 2022 7:30 PM Brooklyn Nets vs Detroit Pistons
77 Thu, Mar 31, 2022 7:30 PM Brooklyn Nets vs Milwaukee Bucks

April Schedule

78 Sat, Apr 2, 2022 7:30 PM Brooklyn Nets at Atlanta Hawks
79 Tue, Apr 5, 2022 7:30 PM Brooklyn Nets vs Houston Rockets
80 Wed, Apr 6, 2022 7:30 PM Brooklyn Nets at New York Knicks
81 Fri, Apr 8, 2022 7:30 PM Brooklyn Nets vs Cleveland Cavaliers
82 Sun, Apr 10, 2022 Brooklyn Nets vs Indiana Pacers

I doubt a lone basketball player factored a lot into this decision but I could be wrong.
They would hold out to get as many of their own citizens to choose vaccination vs loss of work

fwiw, I am glad the rule was equalized.

My thinking was/is, Adams's ban was to get more New Yorkers vaccinated. I felt he'd lift it in time for Kyrie to play in the playoffs. He did.

No that was just a joke on my part. The general consensus at the time in the different articles that came up was the power of New York baseball. With no lockout happening in baseball they needed to enable the games to happen unfettered.
