If it comes down to it, who do you rather have on the opening roster next season. |

Kuminga, while talented and gifted, is definitely a couple years away. I'm not even sure he'll be playing big minutes in the playoffs. Not too many 19 year olds would. |

My first reaction was that this random thought didn’t deserve its own thread. But I guess there isn’t much else to talk about, is there? _________________ Internet Argument Resolved |

LeBron gives you a chance to compete next year but Kuminga from everything I heard has high tap potential, so if we got him we would be set for long term success |

have you seen his record as a laker? Wipe out a worldwide pandemic year and review what he's done. |

Let’s be realistic, LeBron right now is better but in terms of long term success.. Kuminga gives you that luxury. |

It doesn't even need to be Kuminga but the Lakers might be best served to deal Lebron and AD for picks/young players/expirings to jump start a rebuild. Regardless they need to restock their assets and then hopefully be FA players again in 2023 or 2024. It's always painful when Lebron leaves a team but in this case maybe the Lakers could gain a few assets on his way out. With that said I would be shocked if they actually did it. |

He's basically a 6'8" - 6'9" Kawhi Leonard with the same 7'3" wingspan.

probably wont be KL offensively but defensively, assuming he gets good coaching yes.
I am alone on an island I would trade AD, FRP for Barnes + trash. |

I would give him time. Kawhi avg 7ppg rookie season, 11ppg sophmore, 12ppg junior year and 16ppg in his fourth season.
Kawhi broke out his 4th season at age 23. 16ppg on 32 mpg. If Scottie avgs 16ppg next season at age 21 with similar %, then Scottie has POTENTIAL to be better than Kawhi in the offensive dept. |

I am on record as saying he will be elite. I do think KL having SAS and the leadership from a players standpoint was perfect. Coming out of san diego you knew he would be special. But yes, barnes for me is the perfect young player.
My dream team though impossible

Scottie

Steve Kerr makes Kuminga look good because he's not a shot creator on GSW. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

LeBron is certainly the better talent offensively. However hasn't shown that he can get the Lakers to the playoffs in a full season. So if we aren't winning either way, might as well build for the future. |

One of my associates at the NSA . . . er, haha, ignore that, I mean, er, a league source, er, or an NBA executive, or something like that. . . eh, anyway, I got an excerpt from the transcript of a telephone call this afternoon:
Rob Pelinka: Hey, Bob! How's it shaking?
Bob Myers: Oh, hi, Rob. No, I'm still not sending you Curry and Wiseman for Westbrook.
Rob Pelinka: Lighten up, Bob. I got something better. Lebron for Kuminga! Who says no?
Bob Myers: (pause) Have you read the CBA, Rob?
Rob Pelinka: No. Is it any good? I've been thinking about reading those Harry Potter books. People keep telling me that I'm a squib. I need to find out what that means. Maybe I should watch the movies.
Bob Myers: (pause) Uh, the battery in my phone is out of juice. I may lose you any second, Rob. It could go any second. *click*
Rob Pelinka: Damn.
