And Mike Brown got the least amount of time and patience. From both the fans and the Front Office. Glad he's doing well as he is in Golden State. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Yep. IMO there's an unrealistic expectation that a coach should be able to win a championship regardless of the players on the team and that stems from too much focus on the end result and not enough on the process. |

everyone hated brown and sometimes its best to get out of a bad investment at the earliest signs
Byron was never long-term. We knew that. He was there to grind on the guys so kobe didn't have to anymore.
Dantoni didn't adjust to players and we didn't have players to adjust to him. Everyone internally and externally knew he was deadman walking
Luke got 3 years for his first coaching job and never managed to develop guys, plus bron is a coach killer
Love vogel, and he is the only one out of the group where outsiders are scratching their heads HOWEVER, we were abysmal and guys that cant or wont be moved seemingly tuned him out.
We can go into teams who kept coaches too long and wasted valuable player miles around the league. |

Three of those guys aren’t NBA head coach caliber. Another was hired with a roster completely incompatible with his schemes (D’Antoni), and the other had the roster shuffled every year until he faced the same problem (Vogel).
Hiring a head coach is extremely difficult. It’s essentially the decision that ties everything together, ownership’s priorities, your roster construction, your on court identity, media relations, player relationships. It’s where all of the agendas intersect. If your agendas are unaligned, it shows in who you hire as coach. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

That's what happens when you hire (bleep) coaches. 6 years wasted on Brown, Byron and Luke
Hopefully the Lakers will hire a good one this time, or soon he'll be fired too |

agree. the hires weren't ideal but at least the team didn't sit on them longer. |

Thanks Vogel; you were handed a terrible line up and paid by being the
scapegoat. I think you did make some lineup mistakes but by far whoever
put together this team should also be canned.

What will happen the assistant coaches? If a new coach gets hired are they still working with the same crew or will they let them go? Doesn't this add to the cap? _________________

The Laker website currently lists Fizdale, Handy, Penberthy, Simon, Crawford and Lucas III as "Assistant Coaches". Anthrop, Pastorek and Orzolek are player development coaches. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

TBD. This FO likes to pick out the assistants so we'll see. As far as the cap, coach's salary is not counted against it. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. _________________ “You can't be held captive by the fear of failure or the fear of what people may say.” - Kobe Bryant |
