^ Don’t think Jimmy was seriously interested in being a third guy.
He also turned down KD and Kawhi. He has no interest being a 2nd option either, and going by how his game elevates into another tier in the playoffs, I don’t blame him.
IIRC, Jimmy wanted to come to the Lakers with AD & Bron and the Lakers talked to him, but he didn't want to wait for the Kawhi saga to play out.
Jimmy was fine being a 2nd guy on a team with Embiid, Simmons, Redick etc
But they picked Tobias Harris over him. I think as long as you're winning and about winning, Jimmy doesn't take issue with you.
Yeah Jimmy never came across as somebody that cares about being the “leader” or 1st option. Just somebody that wants to be with a competitive group. Whether that team is a super team or not. That’s why the Heat fit him perfectly. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif

I was on LG that offseason. I even posted the link when it happened.
Can't find it now. But this summarizes it after the fact:

If the Lakers would have made Butler their plan A, instead of Kawhi Leonard, they could have created a less than feared big three with him rather than the super team trio of Leonard, Davis, and James. Also, all of their flaws this season and on their playoff run would have practically disappeared by having Jimmy on the roster.
One of the biggest reasons the Lakers ended up with Bradley, Danny Green, Quinn Cook, and Troy Daniels as their offseason backcourt additions, is because they waited so long in the process to go after anyone after waiting on Leonard’s decision.

And with Butler, there never would have been Westbrook. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Can you guys imagine if we got Kawhi and both he and AD and Bron missed all those games? And the Lakers lost more games than they did this year, and the Pels got the #1 pick? _________________ 💜💛 🏆 👀 🍖 #18!!!
Boston was a pretty heavy favorite for G6, and are still favored (i.e. -3) for G7 in Miami. The line tells me that Vegas thinks G6 was a fluke...Hope they're wrong again, but I definitely understand the reasoning.

That ain't nuthin but game. Herro is damaged goods. Udoka not falling for that. I'm a Lakers fan. I hope he brings it. Jimmy Buckets has to have another game 6 performance _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I am ashamed to admit I bet the Celtics -3
I figure I win either way
Don't be shame, I bet them too. It's a bet I hope I lose. I make small bets with my homie. If the Leprechauns make the finals I win $98.00. I bet that on the Dubs. If the Dubs win, I get my homie for $196.00. If the Heat make the finals he won't take the bet. I still win $44.00. I have a win-win bet. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Let's see how much Tatum has learned from Kobe.
Hopefully nothing positive and he fails miserably.
Watch him.. I see him near free throw line lean out to 3pt line .. measure his shot and turn around and shoot... then you can also see the corner jump shot he seems to have tried to focus on
I hate it and love it at the same time..
Buckets Tucker Haslem Riley has got this team ON FIRE and ready to do the Lakers a favor.. Riley still has PnG in his Veins

Wow Draymond actually said on live TV that he thinks Boston will advance while they were up 3-2... will be awkward if they don't 😄
I didn't know exactly what he said but
Tucker thanked him after the game for something he said ^^^ now I get it
GSW fans were speculating he did it hoping the series goes to 7 because GSW doesn't care who they get they just want more rest
In the show after Warriors won WCF, Shaq asked him "Who would you like to play (against in the Finals)?"
Dray tried to give a diplomatic answer, Shaq called him out on that and asked but who do you REALLY?
and that's when Dray said "if you're asking me who I want to play, I'll tell you I think we're gonna play. We're gonna play Boston..." while Steph laughed.
So gave Miami some nice "whiteboard material". Maybe reverse psychology? hmmm 🤔. lol
