Next coach being asked about how to maximize Westbrook.
Makes sense in case the Lakers can't make a deal for WB.
But what does maximizing low bball iq look like? |
Coming off the bench when LBJ sits. Start Nunn who is a better shooter. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Will he come off the bench, though?
Or will he say (bleep) about his coach during interviews? Or act like a prick every damn time |

Almost $50mil in a suit due to a disagreement. _________________ ππ π π π #18!!! |

Lakers severely need to re-set, rebuild a hardnosed culture/identity.
A culture of hard work, dedication, hustle and pride.
Far too many fat and happy, entitled players on last season's roster.
One of the most unlikable rosters in my lifetime due to those very reasons.
Get some young dudes in here who know what it means to get it straight from the mud.
That's the type of team I can get behind & be proud of.
This past season's roster was an utter embarrassment to the franchise, the city and the fan base and it had very little to do with their record.
All that said, Juwan Howard is my first choice if he's even a possibility. |
I agree with you wholeheartedly, but why Juwan Howard? I mean do I like the Juwan and Rondo idea, but hypothetically, why just Juwan? |
The guy is just a hard-nosed, no nonsense leader.
That's something I think the Lakers need desperately.
He's young, worked years under Spo & Riles in Miami so he has coaching experience at the NBA level.
He's seen firsthand what a well run organization looks like.
He's also young enough to relate to today's player but still old school enough to bring that dawg mentality & toughness.
Went to Michigan as Head Coach and instantly turned them into winners.
The guy is also passionate as hell about winning.
I think Juwan Howard + a young, hungry roster is the best direction the Lakers could go right now. _________________ Everyting negative - pressure, challenges - is all an opportunity for me to rise.

Lakers should go get Jason Kidd when his contract is up with Dallas. I think he would be a good coach |

The Laker FO sees Westbrook as an important part of next yearβs team so I donβt think that they will be beating the bushes looking for a trade. Of course not many would agree with that idea. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

In my opinion, Howard is still stupid and immature. Look what he did after that game where he punched the other coach.
We don't need a dumb, lack of maturity, leader either.... |

Vogel failed because the FO failed him, the roster failed him, the injuries failed him.
Someone had to go. It was Vogel.
A lot of us grew frustrated with Vogel but when you look at it, look what he had to work with?
I mean, look at all the lineups?
Look at the players he had?
Ended up starting players like Reaves, Johnson, Gabriel, |

Vogel could absolutely work with guys like KCP, Kuz, AC, etc.
Look at the 20-21 team. LBJ/AD missed about the same % of games as this season, yet the team won games at a +18% rate and was still one of the top defensive teams in the NBA.
This year? One of the worst defenses and with LBJ/AD out, we cratered completely. Vogel had some warts, but man, did the FO do him dirty with the Russ trade and not keeping AC. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I'm concerned about the mother bringing her own son down to Rondo when he was waving a gun. What kind of a mother does that? |

No way, but the organization should have lots of questions for how the team performed on a game 7. That was so bizarre for the former western champs to come out and not just got blown out but be down 50 (or nearly 50). That's reflective of disfunction. Maybe it was 'just one game' but I'd at least have questions as to what went wrong. |

I think Westbrook could excel in a better system. To me, I do think he needs to work harder on his shot. I don't understand being in the league this long, and not having a shot. If he had a shot, it would open up so much for him. Also, slow down his pace and survey the floor. I think if we had an assistant or coach in Rondo, he could help him with that, but I think last season he didn't have a role, and it changed all the time. If he sticks around, I think solidifying a role that maximizes his strength would do Lakers justice. |
