Just saw it too. I wonder if Beasley is decent coming off the bench instead of starting.

At this point Beas over Reaves is like benching Kobe in favor of Smush Parker |

As long as Reaves plays 30+ mins and closes, it's all good |

I mean imagine the lineup of reeves LBJ ad dlo Vando out of the gates
4 of those guys have all star or quasi all star scoring power.
On defense DLo might be an average defender and the other 4 are elite.
Come playoff time have this lineup play most of the minutes and I like the Lakers chances against anyone |

I don’t care who he starts, as long as AR plays the most minutes and close games, I am ok with it. They would’ve won the dallas game if they gave AR the ball at the end |

The only reason I can come up with is that swapping Beasley and Reaves would significantly weaken the bench |

There’s only one ball. Reaves gets more touches as a 2nd ball handler behind Schro off the bench. He is playing well off the bench right and you dont want to mess with that.
It does not matter if he starts or not. Aslong he’s the guy in there closing. |

AD, Wenyan
LeBron, Vando
Brown Jr, Rui
Reaves, Beasley, Lonnie
D'lo, Dennis
Once healthy, or IF healthy, I'd want to see this. High IQ starting 5 with 3 guys who can shoot around AD/Bron and then a high energy get out and gun 2nd unit with Dennis pushing the ball. |

As long as he finishes the game, plays at least 30 mins per game, that’s all that matters |

Doesn't matter who starts as long as AR is getting minutes. Only AD and DLO got more floor time against the Magic, and not by much. |

Agreed.
And there’s a possibility that Beasley’s dwindling confidence is killed if he’s moved to the bench. I don’t know. But I do know that Austin thrives in any role, so let’s play him 32+ minutes as the 6th man and have him finish close games. |

Beasley's time is running out. the DLO/Beasley backcourt is killing the defense and Beasley isn't making shots to compensate for it. |

They need to keep Beasley on a very short leash
He comes out breaking like this every game like he’s doing they need to start thinking about a roster change
I get the need for him for floor spacing but you wanna know what else helps with floor spacing hitting your damn shots |

Oh please. So the team has to cater and babysit a $16+ million player's feelings? A player we just got from the deadline who at Utah and Minnesota was...a bench player.
Thats the most soft mentality I have ever heard. Who gives a (bleep) about his confidence if he can't make any shots or play defense with the starters? Maybe coming off the bench will motivate him to freaking do better? And if he doesn't, then we play Max Christie.
None of this rocket science. You either play better, or you come off the bench. And if you fail at that too, you are out of the rotation. No one said anything when Lonnie Walker and Gabriel were out of the rotation. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

Doesn't really matter if he starts, as long as he finishes and plays the most minutes.
We get too caught up in who starts. Some of the greatest NBA players, HOF players that didn't start. |
