Is a great backup center and helped Giannis win a ring last year. He was willing to stay here for a discount. Anyone know why we let him go?

| He would have been a good player to keep at the 4 years $52 million he signed for. Not sure how that money would have impacted other moves they wanted to make though. |

Yes and the sooner Lakers fans realize this the better. Look, the dude was a fantastic player. One of the best ever. He WAS a great ambassador for the team. Maybe he still could be. But he was a terrible executive. Not just because of bad decisions. The vast majority of the local sports press is set on damaging the Lakers and Magic couldn't, can't, refrain from falling in their trap. |

It's more than that, I just cant fathom someone who has a sense of competency in making decisions quit the way magic did the lakers. It's so unprofessional and makes the decision even more baffling given the fact jeannie and magic had a sibling-like relationship. Why would you do something like that to someone who considers you family?
I will give magic one thing: he knows how to use his image. Magic, outside the player, is at his best when he uses his influence to attract the right people for the situation. Think of his role with the dodgers for example. He gets into trouble when he tries to do more than cut the checks like with coaching or being a talk show host. |

You ever see Burke Shields in "Endless Love"? Turrible sappy teen gurl movie but she was gorgeous, that Burke. Tom Cruise and James Spader's first flick.
There was another brunette model in the 90s named Burke Burns. She was aite. Used to do some sports sideline stuff, iirc. Forgot. Or was on TBDSS or the like.
