Some changes on the Summer League broadcast schedule on July 2. Lakers-Heat will be televised on ESPN2 instead of NBA TV. Kings-Warriors will be on NBA TV

This is why the Lakers live rent free in other orgs heads. GS wins a chip, Lakers get the espn game

Suck it, GS.

No word yet.
I wonder if he gets 1 game.
We'll probably see McClung though.

That’s actually a real good 1-4 lineup.

Just need a Center. Wish the Lakers would take a flyer on SOMEBODY there.

I'm more interested if we're gonna run 4 out 1 in.
And if the kids can pick it up.
That makes me believe Austin will play at least a game.

Center is like RB in the NFL…There will be 30 available at all times.

Except a Center has just won MVP for the 2nd straight time, followed by a PF who is the size of a Center, also back to back. When was the last time a RB won mvp in the NFL?

Not a great analogy there. If anything, point guards are more like running backs in the NBA. They are a dime a dozen. Great wing players are today’s QBs.

And what happens in the playoffs?

Gobert (DPOY) gets played off the court
Jokic and Embiid neutralized and those are the cream of the crop
All other traditional centers rarely play. Go back and watch 2020 Lakers playoff run.

It’s exactly analogous. Go look at both league trends. Ayton is to the Suns what Elliott is to the cowboys except the suns aren’t as dumb as the cowboys and won’t give him max money.

Weren’t you the one that said you are more impressed with the UDFA pickups than Christie? Is it because you recognize the names?

Point guard/facilitator is actually one of the big reasons the Celtics lost to GS.

Nothing wrong with old school. I would like to see some centers added too.

If there are “30 available at all times”, why couldn’t the Lakers sign any that could contribute last season? Be nice if this season could be different.

Lakers need some active centers. Not small ball with Davis, James, or Anthony. Some nights were downright pitiful!

Besides this year? Giannis winning, Lebron and AD winning, Kawhi winning, KD winning, Lebron winning again?

Like I said, Great wings are QBs now, PGs are running backs is the better analogy.

They are more like OL, tons available, but very few elite ones.

I think it’s pretty clear the modern NBA is a Wing game so yes like QBs. The most premium position.

Again, I ask what traditional center has propelled their team into legitimate title contention? Jokic is the only one who comes close and even he can’t do it without a Murray type and some wing help. That’s why they couldn’t beat the Suns or Warriors. Easy series wins.

But some of the OL are premium positions.
