Dunno if we'll be summer league champs but should be a fun squad. Hope JHS looks like he's in control

A lot of people here are high on Max Christie, any word on the other guy from last year's draft, Swider? Any chance he may be a rotational guy in the league?

Played in 24 G League games, 28.7 minutes per game and shot 43.6% from three on 7.6 attempts per game.

The roster reflects the senior roster, a boat load of guards.

Agreed. No depth at either level.

Can we have 3 2-way deals?

Looks like Swider is going to have a fight on his hands.

Would definitely be nice to get another forward and Center here.

Things that make a Summer League Roster successful:

1. Players with a year or two under their belt (Christie, Swider)
2. A floor general that can lead to better organization (JHS)
3. A big that can clean up messes at the rim (Castleton)
4. A dynamic scorer (Lewis).
5. Good Athletes

I look back to those 2017 (champion) and 2018 squads (2nd place), and it's all about guys who play within and accept their roles. For example, Hart was the clear cut alpha on that 2018 squad and all of the other guys (Wagner, Williams, etc) focused on the little things, like hustle, rebounding, defense, screening, etc.

Just like g-league evaluations, the coaches and scouts won't look for one dimensional guys who just try to score. They'll look for guys who hustle, defend, pass, etc. A guy who defends and hustles is worth 10x more than a guy who only looks to score (see Caruso in 2017). Sometimes it's easy for rooks and yougins to get caught up in the hoopla and try to focus on scoring. The coaching staff has to make it clear to them that there are other facets to the game that are just as important. Those who excel in their roles will thrive and have a greater chance of receiving training camp invites and contracts.

I like the fact there is a day off in between each game to give some recovery time to the players. With signed players coaches had to be careful not to play signed players in back to back games for fear of injuries.

JHS/Scottie Pippen Jr
Max Christie/D’Moi Hodge/Damion Baugh
Maxwell Lewis/Bryce Hamilton
Cole Swider/Alex Fudge
Colin Castleton/Sacha Killeya-Jones

I’m guessing this is the rotation so far?
