This is a very good signing. Our best of the offseason, if he's healthy. We need a big guy that can shoot the 3 and be put on some 5s. Not sure about TBryant's defense, but if he's even average, this is a solid signing. |

The center position, unless you're getting Embiid or Jokic, is a position that you should spend the least amount of cap space on.
For 2 min. deals, we have a decent center rotation that will allow AD to play his preferred (and best) PF position. I'm very pleased with the Jones/TB signings.
Have to hope TB's injuries are behind him. I wouldn't over extend him and play him too much. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

WOW, good thing to wake up to.
Very unexpected & should start, welp so much for me believing ex Lakers would never come back to this team!
Not sure how we stack up defensively especially if Irving deal gets done, but having AD back at PF will certainly help his mentality if he doesn’t hit the floor 5-7 times a game? _________________ My Laker squad.

I'm cool with signing TBry. However, I was really liking what we were seeing from Jay Huff, in Summer League. Not as buff as TBry. But, is taller/longer, has decent handles for a big, can shoot, and protect the rim. All the things we're looking for. Granted, it's Summer League, but still.
Getting TBry on a one year, vet min deal, is a good signing. Low risk, high reward. Just really hoping he's able to stay healthy. That said, if things with TBry don't work out, Jay Huff looks like he may be an acceptable fall back plan, imo. _________________ ZOOM!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Wenyen is non guaranteed so can always swap with Huff down the line but we need to lock huff up with 2-way or something (over Pippen) |

Thomas Bryant looked the way he did last year because he was coming off injury and working himself back into form. He's now had a full off-season to continue working and will come into camp better than he did last season and more ready to play. So those are all good things. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Good pick up, but if im LA, I look to add another big for insurance purposes, in case TB has injury issues again. Hoping for Boogie. |

CON
Slow. Players go right by him.
Can't switch.
Overall, weak on defense. Doesn't recover and block much.
PRO
Get rebounds with size and long reach.
Decent shot before injury. Can hit 3's.
Will look to roll for alley oops.
Two first names. |

The only thing that's hurt has been not being able to re-sign Malik Monk. That's the only one that's hurt, because otherwise we'd be filling up the Turner/Hield situation without trading Westbrook for them both.
But now we have to pretty much either hope that Nunn can replicate that production or that THT comes into his own. Austin Reaves I want to see how he continues to progress. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

If Bryant regains his former shooting touch and still has most of his athleticism, he can end up making a bigger impact on our team than some think. Maybe he'll be next year's Malik Monk - an incredible bargain at the vet min. |

The question with TBryant is defense. He can definitely hit some 3s and fit in but at what cost defensively? |

On a sidenote, it's nice to see him have made it in the league. He didn't overly impress me as a Laker, but he did end up being a decent 2nd round pick, having netted 25M from the Wizards between his rookie deal and now his vet min. If he has a good shooting year like Monk did, he'll be MLE money again next summer. I am curious to see if the Lakers gave him some indication he may start in the "Brook Lopez" role. |

I would like to see how Damion Jones's 3 point shooting looks. He was hitting them at a good clip at the end of last season.
If Jones can be a 35-37% 3 point shooter, I might start him over Bryant as Jones is a better defender and more agile. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
