We have 8 games before the all star break, 7 of which are against teams hovering around .500. We need to take advantage and go 5-3 or even 6-2 which won’t be easy, but it’s possible now with AD back.

@NY
@IND
@NOP
vs OKC
vs Bucks
@ GSW
@ Por
vs NOP

You have nine games there.

A good result is winning six of them.

Probably losing to the Bucks in a revenge game one from the Warriors and one from the Pelicans if they get their players back.

You’re right I’ll fix it to remove the last GSW game, which is after the break.

Most important, no scheduled losses- LBJ and AD are to play in all.
They need to get crackin- Hoping 6-2.

The big one is tonight against the Knicks. That is a must win. The remaining two games in the road trip are against two teams without their stars.

I don’t think the FO believes in this team, so as they have stated…the moves should be to improve the team for the next 2-3 seasons.

All trades should be looking towards 2-3 year horizon. LeGrandpa and Day to Davis don’t get the benefit of the doubt because they haven’t stayed healthy outside of a bubble run after 4+ months off.

I don't like seeing Davis and Lebron sitting, just to sit, to rest.
There is no sense of urgency...

It isn’t urgent. They have 31 games to make up 2-3 games. The teams they are trying to pass are .500 teams. I don’t think they’ll have any issues winning the needed games if it ever becomes urgent.

Well, that's fine, but in my opinion, its flawed thinking on their part. 31 games to make up 2-3 games is not correct. They are 5 games under .500 now. To even make the play in, they need to keep pace with the other teams and win at a more positive clip. I still see the 7-10 seeded play in teams needing 40-42 wins to get in. We need to win, what, 17-20 of the remaining games to do that? Not possible....not with Davis and Lebron sitting to "rest"

Just my opinion.....

If we go on a run of 12-4 somewhere along the way, which they are capable of, we will make the play-in. Time is running out to make that run though.

Luckily their march and April schedules don’t seem relatively light compared to some of our earlier months.

One down, seven to go. The Knicks was one of the harder ones in this last eight game stretch before the ASB.

Now on to @Pacers and @Pelicans, both of whom have been struggling lately because they don’t have their star player.

They were a 12/13 seed over 2 weeks ago, were a 12/13 seed last week and are now a 12/13 seed. To make up 2-3 games against 2-3 teams is going to take a much greater effort than we have been seeing. We aren’t dominate against the .500 teams, we aren’t dominate against the teams ranked below us. It isn’t going to be easy.

1-0

Without smallball lineup and westbrook boneheaded plays and with both Bron and AD playing this is a sure 6-2. It all depends on ham's rotation, if he's still stubborn they will be lucky to be 4-4 in this schedule.

The problem is every game feels like a dog fight. No game is a guaranteed L or W for us, feels like they all go down to the wire. I think it's why Bron took that Boston game so hard - he knows we needed that one.

On the other hand, no game is a guaranteed L because every team looks mediocre against the Lakers and they can win every game by minimizing mistakes.

Two down. Six to go before ASB. So far so good. 2-0 with a couple winnable games coming up.

Win the next two games and we’re in serious business. We could win 44-45 games at that point, if we make a damn move at the deadline. Our schedule to finish the season is a relative cake walk if they can.. you know… play like they’re worth a damn.
