Why hasn't Myles Turner been cut? He hasn't been traded because nobody wants him. He's a bum! Biggest player on the court is terrified of playing in the post. We need to get this soft diva far the hell away from our young players.
Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro – the NBA’s reigning Sixth Man of the Year – has agreed on a four-year, $130 million contract extension, his agents Jeff Schwartz and Mike Lindeman of @Excelbasketball tell ESPN.
$30m in cap room if we cut everyone not named Lebron and Davis . _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night.
Heat fans talking Robinson and Lowry for Russ to salary dump. They're going to be bleeding talent because of this Herro deal. And now Poole is going to demand the same contract, forcing the Warriors to make some serious decisions.
Anyway, that'll be two first round picks for taking on an expiring Westbrook, Riley.

Pacers: Robinson/Lowry/1st from Lakers, pick swap from Lakers, 1st from Heat, pick swap from Miami
Lakers: Turner/Hield, 2nd rounder from Miami
Miami: Russ

Wow, the Pacers get a lot for players who aren't even netting a single first. I was thinking 1-2 picks to the Lakers for Russ, then trading Lowry plus Robinson and the 3+ picks for the third max Pelinka so covets.

This has to be a crazy overpay? _________________ #countonkobe

It’s not about what Pacers are sending out. Its asking them to swallow a lot of future salary. Lowry owed another 30 mil after this season. Duncan another 40 with his final season not fully guaranteed (don’t know what the buyout is). But it’s at least an extra 50 after what Hield would cancel out. Lakers won’t take on that salary themselves, it would have to be rerouted.
This way you keep a first that you can combine with Buddy for another deal.

But taking on salary is less important to a rebuilding Pacers team honestly. That's the assumption behind flipping picks plus Lowry and Robinson to a rebuilding team that would send us a max player as well. If you're below the cap and rebuilding, one more year of Kyle Lowry mentorship and an overpaid elite shooter who isn't in playoff rotations isn't the worst situation in the world if you're getting material draft capital.
Anyway, I'm just messing around with these proposals, but your trade seems like a very clear win for the Pacers and a whatever package for the Lakers.

Funny, I brought up that trade idea here as was shot down pretty quickly as something Miami wouldn’t do. _________________ Darvin

Andre Iguodala makes the Jordan Poole and Tyler Herro comparison. He’s played with both.
“It’s funny. I’m hearing Tyler is looking at a max contract. I’m laughing at Jordan, like, it’s the same thing.”
