Luka's gonna be so frustrated by midseason. Too bad lakers don't have many assets.

This FO is going to hold out to look for another 3rd "star." I hope they prioritize depth over another 3rd star, but I can't help thinking they are hoping Chicago craters so we can overpay for a 33 year old DRoz and Vuc. And y'all know how much I like DRoz.

If the Mavs decide to blow it up, we need to get McGee back maybe something like Nunn/Bev/Jones and 2nd round picks to Dallas for McGee/Bullock

That package can get you OG's left leg.

That package gets you a belly laugh from Masai and the sound of a phone hanging up.

In 2 weeks puts us right around Dec 15th 🤔

We dont need names. We need players that fit.

DeRozan's mid range proficiency would be an amazing pairing with AD's rim running and lob catching. Teams would have to pick their poison of two high efficiency options to stop.

And that would be our backup option as LeBron-AD PnR would be our #1 option. It creates two powerful options for half court offense which is something we struggle with now.

Adding Vucevic gives a 3pt shooting Stretch big for Pick and Pop options in the half court. Thats another area we dont have on this team outside of AD who is streaky.

I get the agw arguments, but we need pieces that add elements to this team we lack. We dont have anyone like DeRozan or Vucevic on the roster

Collins is actually expected to miss 2 weeks because that’s when the Hawks are gonna start trying to find a way to trade Collins, there just giving him time to recover from a minor ankle sprain.

Terrence Ross was a target I liked for us. His contract lines up for FA so I think Nunn & Bev would get him. He'd boost our shooting and wouldn't be a bad defender. I don't love Troy Brown Jr as a starter.

Too often guys are telling him where to be on defense

Seems like Atlanta has had Collins on the market for a year. Don't think they are in any hurry to make a deal.

I think this is actually the first time there gonna up really aggressive in trying to finder a taker, what they have is simply not working, if they keep being in the mid-tier, Trae is eventually gonna ask out

I have no idea what is going to happen. Whatever comes, I hope that the front office has a realistic plan going forward, and not just for this season. If a DeRozan/Vucevic trade was actually possible (no clue), it might help us for this season, though I still don't think we'd be a contender due to the lack of depth and the likelihood of injuries. But what would be the plan going forward with an aging roster with limited draft picks?

Trading away Bev, Russ and Nunn still leaves us with Dennis (can start), Reaves (can start), Walker (can start), and Christie (who looks legit as a rotation player). Unbelievable how overloaded we are with guards.

Bryant - C

AD - PF/C
Gabriel - PF/C

LBJ - SF/PF

Reaves - SG/SF
Walker - SG/SF
TBJ - SG/SF
Christie - SG/SF

Dennis - PG

In this league the guards are the easiest to come by. Boston was able to acquire 2 quality guards in White and Brogdon this year without giving up a ton of assets.

It's the big wings that are nearly impossible to acquire in this league unless there is an extenuating circumstance involved.

Neither does the FO.

Vuc stinks but DeRozan is at least a worthy target who fits the timeline of the other guys and gives you a real asset you may even be able to recoup some assets with down the line. I’m not sure it elevates us to contender status either, but at least it’s a step up from the idea of picking over Charlotte’s trash.

Kuz+Porzingis package or DeRozan/Vuc package? Which 1 is more intriguing?

I wonder how many teams are now requesting Austin in trade talks?

Bron already lost one fav white boy in Caruso. Pretty sure he'd flip out if Austin was in the conversation.

i don't think we have enough for either, but i will take the Derozan/Vuc package simply because we don't have an isolation player to get baskets with shot clock down or clutch time, and Derozan is that guy.

Porzingis is the kind of player who kills franchises.

The potential with his length and skillset is amazing, but the reality (always hurt, barfights, rape allegation) is that he wears out his welcome very quickly.

Still - he'd be the best 3-pt. shooter/shot-blocker on the team and wouldn't occupy LeBron or AD's spaces. Smallball teams would get lobbed to death defending Porky and AD.

Maybe you can do the Wiz trade then follow it up with Porzingis going to a team willing to take him on.. I’m thinking maybe the Nets might have interest which could mean we end up with Irving and Kuzma and perhaps another asset from Brooklyn.

Oh, who knows? Seems like people are just spitballing trades based on nothing, pretending they know stuff they don't know, and working themselves up just to kill some time. In other words: Same old, same old.
