Well he is supposed to be at the Lakers facility he isn’t gonna be at the Jazz facility until a trade is done lmao

IG: I was referring to this…

Brodie on a boat in Brigham Young territory. Dude was busy over Labor Day Weekend controll’n the narrative. Haha I can’t hate on it Russ. Keep it moving with this new PatB brodmance.

Quote:
Jovan Buha @jovanbuha
Patrick Beverley says he’s excited to play with Russell Westbrook. He thinks the two complement each other well and will fit. He says he’s never played with someone who has the same grit and toughness as him. He also acknowledged they’ll have tough conversations at some point.

Patrick Beverley on going from playing for the Clippers to the Lakers: “Very different. Night and day. Walking around the city, you almost get a different respect.”

Meanwhile Pat finally be getting his flowers, not only from Russ, but from LA too!

Nah, it’s no coincidence that the whole attention about the Pat Bev press conference was about how Westbrook and Bev were gonna encounter to each other, we all know Pelinka is probably working the phones right now trying to find a Westbrook trade.

By the way, it’s quite obvious folks didn’t really catch the presser and just trying to stir drama.

If you see this video, it’s Russ that throws Beverley a towel.

Pelinka may well be, but that doesn't change the fact that there was no hidden animosity on display at todays press conference.

I’m not trying to stir the pot here TD. I’m not trying to upset the pro-Westbrook crowd, I just know that these guys are human beings and aren’t supposed to act like enemies, if they both end up here when the season starts I will root for both to make it work.

IG, don't take this personal but you read into all kinds of crazy stuff and make assessments that way....and sometimes from hacks.
We don't know if Pelinka is "working the phones" to trade Westbrook.
Could be he's here until he's not...

But, from what I saw and read, Beverley and Westbrook are cool.
If you look at the photo, I think it shows...

I'm in the anti-rumors/ anti-blogboi crowd

I mean nobody can read their minds right? The whole thing may very well have been for show, no telling how they - particularly Russ - feel inside. But you know based on what I saw they were amicable and I can't - and I'm not willing to - project my own feelings onto the situation. I have to go by how they're acting. Because ultimately as a fan I just have to hope for the best for this season. If a magic wand comes it comes (please!) but right now there isn't one so I have to hope for the best.

Pat Bev vs Caruso, age/contract aside, who's better?

Caruso.

AC is a high IQ offensive player.

Beverly is more offensively rough.

yeah, I think they're close, in a vacuum it might even be a small upgrade

Beverley is a better offensive player though, as he's clearly a better 3-point shooter.

Despite all the people on this board who have insisted Caruso should make the All-Star team, he is below-average in just about every facet of basketball besides defense.

It’s not all about 3 point shooting. Caruso was a glue guy for the Lakers offense in 2020 chip season and the Bulls missed him when he went down too.

Ideally we would've had both of them, as Bev is a 1 and Caruso is more of a 2 (at least defensively).

But Caruso's lack of 3-point shooting touch is a problem, and we already have had too many players who can't keep defenses honest from downtown.

Calling Caruso a "glue guy" is too much when he can't break defenses down or set up teammates. But obviously he moved well without the ball and played well off LeBron, which made him look good.

Caruso’s defense is overrated, I remember the Phoenix series very well. He couldn’t guard Cameron Payne, Chris Paul or D. Booker.

Yeah, that's because Caruso was a better team defender than individual defensive whiz.

Also, saw portions of the Beverley press conference. The guy is a maniac...in a good way. He'll have his moments of over exuberance but I'm already enjoying what he brings here.
