The lakers will be a ~33 win team this season. I've been spot on in my predictions so...

Commitment to Ham’s plan

Accountability that is led and enforced by Ham during preparations and Lebron on the floor

Leadership provided by Ham and led by example by Lebron

Placing Team First - hopefully that means that Westbrook embraces the concept that he should EARN, not entitled, to have a high ball usage rate with a low TO rate and for leadership/Ham/Rob/Jeanie to provide the above-listed leadership/accountability/commitment to winning a RING (that might mean benching/sending home/trade Westbrook

Health by placing the appropriate value on every game (Vogel made the decision with the players Rob/Lebron gave him to treat the earlier season games as an extended exhibition season given the AARP players provided him that were injured at the start of the season) hence forcing Lebron/AD to play harder much earlier in the season - to make avail that resulted in injuries

As Laker and NBA fans know, the best TEAM (not the team with the most talent) win rings - consistently

All of us are awaiting how Lebron will work with Westbrook during his “Pre-Camp” that is happening soon

Hopefully all of us are glad that our team that have an Uber
-Talented players like KD in a leadership capacity (https://apple.news/ADuQBWOiqQc2Mf3JzEmlg7w) and Kyrie on our team (for all his otherworldly skills, would his soap opera/demands/unexplained last minute absences + the lost of talent/picks be worth it since winning a ring with the Kyrie that we saw last year would not make the Lakers one of the top contending teams this year

Lakers being good is wining 44-48 games. For that to happen, AD and LeBron have to be healthy and locked in, guys have to buy in on Ham and play great D, a couple guys have to become reliable shooters and Russ has to play basketball a way he has never been able to - smart, under control, efficient.

Lebron and AD have to play in order for us to be a good team. We’re a contender if they’re playing

Besides all the other reasons everyone mentioned here, the Lakers have to pay attention to detail and take every game seriously. It seemed last season that some nights they felt all they needed to do was to show up and they would win. There were also a couple of key rotation players who seemed to have a casual approach and weren't concerned at all even when the ship was sinking.

The team seemed to think all it needed to do was reach the play-in tournament, and it would turn it on and win the championship. That's not a winning mentality.

This also means LeBron has to play in most or all of the preseason games. Last year I think he played in only two, and that helped set the tone for a bad season.

I just read an article on what the Lakers potential starting lineup may be barring any significant trade, and I must say, I wasn't impressed:

Russ + Nunn + LBJ + AD + Jones and that would leave this as our bench:
Beverly + Walker + Reaves + (starter) + (starter)

I guess that would put us at an 8 man rotation and that's what we're suppose to win a championship with.

IDK guys but hope is slipping away on this Lakers team.

I am surprised Jones would be the starting center over Bryant

Assuming we would get the best possible version of Bron and AD, rested healthy bubble Bron and AD, would we even be a contender? Who's going to be playoff Rondo because that was quite a high bar? PatBev could replace KCP. Reaves turning into Caruso. Still need a defensive presence like Howard.

* AD playing at MVP level.
* Top 5 defensive team.
* At least 2 rotation guys shooting 40% plus from the 3.
* Hell to freeze over

Judging from the last 4 seasons, the only thing that can save us is another global pandemic.

For both AD and Lebron to be top 10 players (preferably AD being top 5).

And for the supporting cast to perform like the 2019-20 supporting cast.

If LeBron gets a time machine and transforms himself into his 2013 PRIME version. 28 years old. PRIME ATHLETICISM, MVP form.

All my wish this season win or lose is that the players play hard the whole game. Last year's team is a big disappointment, thought they are entitled and played with no passion. With a healthy LBJ and AD surrounded by players who knows there role, hungry and willing to sacrifice there body. we should have a successful season. Just play hard all the time and let the chips fall where it may and can see great result happening.

1) Health
2) Buy in to Coaches System
3) Defensive effort and intensity
4) Above average shooting and below average turnovers
5) Catch a lot of breaks

I always believe the Lakers CAN win a chip in the beginning of the season through mental gymnastics, heck I thought Brian Grant was going to lead us to the 05' Title. The roster needs are obvious, and if we do make a trade for positive assets and off load the negative asset, we would be in a far better spot. #1 #3 and #4 are all easier said than done!!

Brown Jr./Reaves
Westbrook/Walker
Bev/Nunn
+
Bryant
Gabriel
Swider
Christie
Pippen Jr.

1. Trade.
2. Health
3. Defense from LeBron all year.
4. Buy in from the team.

Dr Buss comes back to life and the NBA remembers what the Lakers did to save the NBA from extinction. Otherwise.

You mean the same thing? Take care of the superstars and let go of key role players or even trade them away?
