INJURIES FROM THE OTHER SIDE- Grant

Per NBA.com (this morning)

The Portland Trail Blazers announced today that forward Jerami Grant has been placed in the NBA’s concussion protocol.

During the first quarter of Friday night’s game vs. Oklahoma City, Grant was evaluated and cleared to return to play after sustaining a contusion to the right eye. Saturday morning, Grant began to exhibit concussive symptoms and was evaluated further.

Per the NBA’s Concussion Policy, Grant will now begin the NBA-mandated Return-to-Participation Protocol. This process includes a series of steps designed to ensure an athlete exhibits symptom-free behavior before resuming basketball activities. There is no predetermined timetable to complete the protocol, as each injury and player is different and recovery time can vary in each case.

BRON OUT AS EXPECTED

I'm late but yeah. Nothing unexpected here

Per Goon

James is officially OUT against the Blazers. He was icing his feet immediately after about a half-hour on the court.

Hopefully Lebron doesn't have a serious foot injury. He has his own army of doctors so if something was up we would know, but the fact he got an MRI isn't a great sign. At his age that can create other compensation injuries.

Just watch the OKC game... He was taking his shoes off every time he was on the bench or subbed out from the start.

They did an MRI... But only showed normal wear and tear. He is older and foot pain lingers for a while.

IN GAME INJURIES - DLO

Per Trudell

D'Angelo Russell is out for the rest of the game due to a right ankle sprain.

https://twitter.com/lakersreporter/status/1628968000077590528?s=46&t=zGLpHBaeJy6kiex-AkhQiw

If you missed it he stepped on another players foot after making a basket and his ankle rolled.

DLO UPDATE

OK well the Lakers are saying his x-ray is negative and he doesn't need an MRI so it sounds like DLO's ankle situation is not serious. Excellent.

(Chris Haynes just said this on TNT)

X-rays on D’Angelo Russell’s ankle were negative, and he’ll be day-to-day moving forward.

Russell left the game in the first quarter after turning his ankle when he stepped on DiVincenzo’s foot. He had 2 points, 4 boards and 3 assists in his 9 minutes.

DLO Probably Out for Dallas Game

Per McTen

Darvin Ham says he doubts D’Angelo Russell will play Sunday vs. Dallas.

https://twitter.com/mcten/status/1629230656478928898?s=46&t=HvhhxrANmfX65DF2ZrxBLA

Ham added that "there’s no structural damage" in Russell's right ankle and, "it’s going to be a day-by-day thing." Russell will join the Lakers' on their road trip, per the team. They will put out a status update on him on Saturday afternoon.
