Ever heard the term “re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic”?

It sums up the lineup discussion…. Old LBJ, Street Clothes Davis and a hot mess of mismatched junk parts…

If Bryant, and Reaves don't start we will struggle. We have very little actual NBA talent on this team.

PG.Nunn 24 / Dennis 24
SG.Matt 18 / Beverly 22 / Nunn 8
SF.LeBron 28 / Reeves 20 I think Walker might b better
PF.Davis 16 / Tuscano 20 / Gabriel 12
C.Bryant 28 / Davis 12 / Huff 8

Any game that we have a big lead on I would play Christie and Pippen a ton. These guys have high IQ but I want them to develop playing next to good talent not trying to iso with a bucng of gleaguers

PG.Pippen
SG.Christie
SF.LeBron
PF.Davis
C.Bryant

I think we need fire power in our starting 5... what happen to blowing teams out? We cant do that because our offense sucks without spacing. People think we are saying we need to shoot more 3s but we are just saying we need to open up the floor with players with greater gravity and 3pt volume.

That wouldn't be bad. There are a few different lineups I like (most AD at the 5). Nunn looked like our third-best player in the preseason. Walker looked good too, gonna keep an eye on that

With all the guards we got, I can't believe half of them already had/have injuries.

Dennis
Troy
Lonnie
Russell

Healthy:
Patty
Kendrick
Austin
Max

diminished stars:
LBJ...AD......................................WB (injured as soon as benched)

Semi decent nba bench talent
Nuun, Schroeder, Walker, Reeves

Shouldn't have more than spot minutes on a contender:
Everyone else

That's thee most balanced starting 5 we could create but the problem is the unbalancedness of the bench and who doesn't play out of the guards?

If Russ can be flipped into something like a mediocre Oubre and Hayward package, do it. Help clear the glut. Just get better balance and this weird aura around this team outta here.

Walker might be too small vs Wiggins. I would go

Bev
Walker
JTA
Bron
AD

Nunn
Reaves
Bron
Gabriel
Bryant

Did PatB just dry snitch the starting lineup tonight?

Yay, AD to start at the 5. 🙄

This is why I left P.Bev and JTA in the “everyone else” category they don’t really do any one thing well……. Probably should have put Reeves in there too. When AD goes down this team is gunna sink to the bottom fast….

Walker 34% 3pt shooter
Brick 30% 3pt shooter

Next to LeBron and AD is laughable

I been saying this for years we need to go all in on shooting other than bron and ad.

PG.Nunn
SG.Ryan
SF.LeBron
PF.Tuscano
C.Davis

Forget scrubs that cant shoot

JTA is a Power Forward? (6'6" with 209 lbs)

Midget lineups like today won't get us wins

I hope that Ham didn't fall in love with smallball like Vogel did at the end
Smallball doesn't work!

We need to follow the numbers

Basketball is a neural net

Imagine that you have a black box, that no matter wht you put inside of it, it will always give you a rating from 1-10. You put 5 players

PG.Curry
SG.Thompson
SG.Pool
SF.Wiggings
C.Dray

The system will give you a 10. Because you have shooting, and if you use Shapley values in a dataset of game results you will see that shooting and FT are the deciding factors for a game. Two things we suck at.

On defense as long as those guys have a high IQ to play defense on a string they will be fine. Their offense efficiency along w smart D will always beat a defense. When teams notice they can't distance or catxh up they give up.

My point is we need to feed the black box the right set of players. We need players that sre efficient because its what drives the game.

this means Westbrook can not play. And i dont mean benching him... i mean not playing at all.

My idea would be to make LeBron and AD my PF and C offense. They NEED to be the worst shooters on the floor if we want to win.

PG.Nunn
SG.Beverly
SF.Ryan
PF.LeBron
C.Davis

Trust me. No team can beat that efficiency. If Beverly was 6"7 we'd be in business. But I would still give this team a chance. And I don't want to shoot 3s like gsw but I want Bron and Davis to habe space to do their thing and when defenders cheat they ponish them.

Or you can do (offense)

PG.Nunn
SG.Ryan
SF.LeBron
PF.Bryant
C.Davis

Walker needs to stop playing he is an inneficient player.

Every little bit of contribution from each player affects the end result, so your system should be to try to improve efficiency at all cost. That is what coaching is how can we increase our offensive output. But we continue to so dumb (bleep) like playing non shooters like Walker, Reeves etc we need to stop being biased and use the numbers

If you think about it why is Walker 6"4 34% from 3 playing ahead of 6"8 Tuscano 36% from 3?????

Makes no sense to me...

Toscano is 6'6 and Lonnie is a scorer with a good defensive potential

JTAs 3s were easy 3s b/c no opponent cared about the shooting of JTA
the opponents full defensive attention was on Klay or Steph

Pat, RW and Lonnie as starters will be suicide for the whole season

That 4 guard lineup

let's see how we do against Clippers 4 wings lineup
Kawhi 6'7"
PG 6'8"
Covington 6'7"
Batum 6'8"
Morris 6'8"
Coffey 6'7"

we will just have to pray that they miss

Still got to worry if they can rebound when they miss…

That’s what our 38yr old superstar gotta deal with in a 7 games series, we need a trade for wings

LeBron Reaves JTA AD Jones

That's how you handle that wings lineup.

Couldn’t handle Klay-Wiggins, we need bigger wings

Do you need a "scorer" next to AD, Brick and LeBron? Or better to have a taller guy that shoots better?

This team can't shoot, they should just go with a big lineup.
Better chance to crash the glass, can control the interior and get in transition or get offensive rebounds.

LeBron
Any guard
JTA
AD
Jones
