I'm Anti-Amazon (and yes Anti LeBron) in general but shouldn't they get actually football minds to do this instead? What does LeBron know about football?

Amazon Prime Video is going to use a broadcast similar to the popular “ManningCast” that ESPN uses for its Monday Night Football games.
On Thursday, Amazon announced that Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James will be running “The Shop”, an alternative feed to the regular Thursday Night Football broadcast, on Nov. 17.
“The Shop” will take place during the Green Bay Packers-Tennessee Titans Week 11 showdown (8:15 p.m. EST). Paul Rivera and Maverick Carter will also be part of “The Shop” broadcast.
You can see a video of the announcement from the four-time NBA Champion below.
The “ManningCast” stars legendary NFL quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning. ManningCast has become extremely popular among the NFL world, as the brothers use their senses of humor to entertain fans while also breaking down plays with their their football IQ.
The Manning brothers bring in several guests for each episode of the “ManningCast.” For the Week 7 game between the Chicago Bears and New England Patriots, they had Barack Obama, Bill Burr and Vince Vaughn.
“The Shop” premiered in the summer of 2018 on HBO. The show, which is available on YouTube, produced 17 episodes over its first four seasons. The show features a plethora of special celebrity guests, including other superstar athletes, actors and music artists.
Amazon’s viewership for Thursday Night Football has dropped considerably since hitting 13 million viewers in its first broadcast in Week 2. There, the Kansas City Chiefs outlasted Justin Herbert’s Los Angeles Chargers 27-24.
Surely, a special edition of “The Shop” for Thursday Night Football will help increase viewership for the Packers-Titans game. Fans have good reason to tune in for a game featuring Aaron Rodgers and Derrick Henry.
James and his Lakers are off to a nightmarish 0-4 start to the 2022-23 season. They’ll look to pick up victory No. 1 on Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. |

Except "Magic Johnson" elicits cheer and good times, or used to, at least. Hearing anything about LeBron has made me want to do nothing but tune out or skip since 2003. Friggin boring. _________________ http://chickhearn.ytmnd.com/
