Franco Harris of Immaculate Reception fame has passed at the age of 72. He seemed to be in good health.

The Immaculate Reception is one of the most controversial receptions of all time. I thought the ball hit the ground. In today's game, I believe a challenge would be successful and the reception would be ruled incomplete. RIP FRANCO

Rest In Peace -- every time I flew into Pittsburgh I always passed his statue near the escalators....

This wasn't something I was expecting to read either considering they were going to retire his jersey and his A Football Life premieres on Friday.

I think Franco's death came as a surprise to a lot of people. He was just out and about yesterday doing radio interviews and seemed in the best of health. Nothing has been listed as the cause of death. It wouldn't surprise me if the cause was the silent killer, high blood pressure.
