I have shown my basketball knowledge and predictions over the past years.
and I had been a Lakers fan since 1995, from Kobe first year in the league, knew he was special.
Right now the Lakers management is a total mess.
From Pelinka to Jeanie Buss, and the whole Lebron Klutch isnt helping.
This whole mess is going to set us back for decade or longer.
The smart thing to do now is to first fire Pelinka asap.
and then Trade Anthony Davis next year while his stock is high.
Trade Lebron too if we can.
get our picks back.
Just rebuild.
but I dont see us doing that.
no one on the Lakers wants to take responsibilities.
Lebron wants to play GM, while not really wanting to take blame for his decision (aka trading for Westbrick)
Pelinka wants to be GM, but he wants to just listen to Lebron, so he can keep his job.
Jeanie just completely clueless and not sure who to listen to.
what I see happening next year is us being pressure by Lebron to sign Draymond Green, and we will be at best a fringe playoff team.
I will probably come back to watch basketball next decade when Pelinka is gone and Jeanie have sold the team.
we are going to be bad for a long long time.

This post doesn't say anything that a million other people haven't already said in posts in the trade forum. It's okay for you to put up a me-too post, but you don't need to start an entire new thread to do so. This should have just gone in the trade forum along with all the other posts that said the same thing as you are.

Given how Rob salivates for players on the tail end of their primes, I wouldn't rule it out. It is a possibility, albeit not the first, second or third choice for him.

Did you ever thought trading for westbrick was his first choice?
And giving Washington picks for westbrick too… lol now we have to give up more picks just to get rid of him

I once predicted that an unnamed hero would arrive in our midst to lead us, and we wouldn’t even recognize them. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel
Not sure why all the hate on this guy. Sure at first glance the post feels a bit pretentious but I think this person was just trying to say hey I’m credible which I for one didn’t mind as everything on this site has become buried in threads that are way too long and have super abstract titles that are kind of boring tbh. Anyway, I understand I’m in the minority on that front so I’ll shut up haha. At far as Green, it wouldn’t surprise me. It is painfully clear to me that there is some agreement between Rob and Clutch that the majority of the Lakers salary cap is to be controlled by Clutch. I’m guessing it’s a means of making Lebron and whomever Lebron sees fit more money as those players have to pay a portion of their salaries to Clutch and thus to Lebron transitively. We made a deal with the basketball devil to temporarily have basketball bliss (championship) for an eternity of basketball hell (everything post championship). The Lakers knew what they were doing here, they made their bed and now they have to sleep in it. Now we suffer as fans and it feels like it’s going to get A LOT worse before it starts getting better.
When Rob fired Frank he said he felt the organization needed a STRONGER voice in the locker room. It’s funny because it seems like there was some projection there. The organization needed a stronger voice but not in the locker room. It was needed and still needs one in the front office. Someone needs to MAN UP, yes I said it, MAN UP and rip this organization back away from Clutch, have a vision for the future using the glories of the past to establish a culture. Rob is a coward. We don’t need cowards here. We need a leader of men, a leader that will establish that culture of winning, the Laker way and and unwavering confidence that even team Clutch can’t touch. Who that is or even if they exist I have no clue.

There were some of us who were saying this back in 2018. After a few years of losing, a lot of fans were on board with the Faustian bargain. But no, I don’t think Draymond Green is in the plans, and no, I don’t think this deserved its own thread. _________________ Internet Argument Resolved

Draymond is one of those obvious ideas that’s been out there. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel
