The FT shooting ability of DS is greatly needed

It feels like such a long time since we’ve had reliable FT shooting on this team.

We had some good FT shooters this year
DS/NUNN/reaves are all great ones

All you guys who were down on Brodie need to apologize. He made some turnovers but his overall game was the reason we won.

That fine significant other of Schroeder needs to give him a little something special tonight. Reward that effort!

Turnover is part of the game especially for playmakers

I could see a instance were the Grizzles come out with a “cake walk game” mentality and the Lakers taking advantage of it and making it into a game, but the Grizzles play with a lot of poise for a team that has a lot of young players

No matter how bad the Lakers get, teams play their best against the Lakers. PatBev noted this the other week:

Quote:
"Understanding, you know, any team that plays us, they're not playing our record, they're playing the name across the jersey so, everyone's looking to beat us, so keeping that intensity the whole game with hard work and staying disciplined."

But also, this game is on ESPN. The Grizzlies aren't going to lay an egg on national television.

Friday night, .... in LA, ...... on National TV......... no better time or place for Memphis to lay an egg. GO LAKERS!!

I think what happened is even better. Memphis played great, did not lay an egg, and dominated in multiple phases of the game — and the Lakers STILL beat them and ended their 11 game win streak.

Not me Westbrook has done a turnaround of his game this season. I’m very pleased with his performance pretty much all the time now he just needs a running mate in the second unit someone to take those outside shots

Brodie balled tonight. When he gets going, he is relentless.

yup, compensating on Lebron bad day. So we only need either 1 of Bron or Russ to have a good game and they will always have a chance to win against any team.

As much criticism Darvin has been getting for being a newbie he really came back tonight and told all of us to shut the hell up

Glad to see his principles in trusting his players actually worked tonight in a huge win!!!!

Lakers need 3 straight wins against Blazers, Clippers and Spurs. Doable, but again this team is very unpredictable.

Westbrook was the reason they won?

I don’t think so.

Schroder had more of an impact than Westbrook did. In fact, Schroder should probably always start playing the last 6 minutes of every game. Westbrook belongs on the bench.

Without his 29 pts, I dont think they would have won especially that Lebron had an off night.

Not really, it was a lot of Westbrook pretty much and Schroder helped support the effort.
29 points. Take that off the score, we lose big.

He scored 5 points down the stretch, played excellent defense on Ja, come on man, find another game to blame him

The points are good. You begin to lost track with how many he takes away.. either with turnovers or out of control shots.

Most of the time they are complete momentum killers.

I’m glad they won tonight. They finally got some luck at the end of the game… but they EASILY could have lost, and Westbrook makes mistakes almost every game that costs the Lakers wins.

Russ played great tonight and deserved to close.
