What if the Lakers walked off the court and forfeited the game after that bogus no call? What do you think league/NBA fanbase reaction would look like?

That’s maybe the 4th game this team has lost so far due to a bad call/no call.

It would be controversial, for sure. But I think the media would crucify any team that attempts this and call them unprofessional.

I think we'd get crushed. As bad as that non-call was, everyone in the league has beefs with the officiating. Everyone has a list of times they got screwed. For that matter, most fanbases believe that the officials protect Lebron and the Lakers. That's just the way that fans are. We're getting sympathy and support from some people outside Laker Nation, but everyone else, including the media, would just kill us.

You know near the end of the game LBJ casually walked down the court with the game still up for grabs sort of when he should be pushing the ball. AD made a 3 that play. And the last possession of the game LBJ was out with towel over his head.

That perhaps is some sort of protest?

It was certainly a “I’m over this.” Between the no call and Brick in OT. I don’t blame him. I don’t even like LeBron but I felt sooooooo sorry for him. Not right, specially when they just gave the Celtics an and one on the other side.

I think it was just a dejected frustrated man. After the no call, the tech, and the Celtics taking the game at the line. Just too much.

You can hear his building frustration with the non calls. His entire career he relied on getting those calls. Now he isn’t. Has to be shaking his world.

And forfeiting the game by walking off would not have been the move.
But I would like to see a whole lot more venting by Ham and the organization about this. Then double down when they get fined by making a point that they get fined but nothing happens to the incompetent ( or worse) refs.

This is one of this cases that the Lakers getting a million dollar fine would be a statement.

Better for Lebron to sit out of the all star game

He won’t because it’s about the fans (and about Lebron as well), but I get your point… I think.

Yeah, we can’t have people walk off the court. You see how many times NBA players throw their arms up when they clearly fouled the other person, or how often they throw up the finger twirl for reviews. Walking off the court will have serious implications from the league because it definitely can’t happen.

It's not only happening to the Lakers. The officiating is terrible league-wide. It's arguably the worst it's ever been. Good thing my league pass is expiring.

Fines, suspensions. Along with a season of ridicule. Nothing positive would come from it.

We had a chance in OT. Same when we played in LA. We are below 500. We need every game.

The entire nation actually felt bad for us, which is rare.

It's one game... we "beat" the Celtics with everyone except Bron and Bev playing below their normal abilities.

For me, it's about picking up the pieces and winning about 2/3 of the rest of the games.

Of course hardcore Lakers haters would be laughing but nearly all of Reddit thought we got hosed.

It's one game... I'd use the pain to motivate to beat Brooklyn.

Posts like this is why people laugh at laker fans and discredit our complaints.

Bad calls? YES.

We still had a chance to win on multiple occasions.

This isn’t some social justice issue.

Walking off the court LOL

Idk about walking off but everyone (even some Celtics fans) acknowledged we got hosed last night big time. I get the refs screw a lot of games up but Lakers/Celtics prime time on ABC is not the place to be pulling that (bleep).

I’m glad there is an outrage right now and more pressure should be put on the refs/NBA to do their job better…

The biggest irony would be if the team walked off the court in protest and the commissioner gave the players who walked off lengthy suspensions.
