this is pretty funny post.
Might be time to just cut the losses this summer and get a real team going. “best duo in the league” doesn’t matter if you aren’t available or can’t propel your team to victory against non-tanking teams. |

Just win the F’n game! |
It’s like that student that needs an A on the final not to fail the course, but still procrastinates until the night before
They keep being delusional that they can afford to load manage when in fact the other team is looking at them as a W. |

They will spam us with 3s and our short guards will be abused once again. |

We are without 2 best players. I don't see any advantage there. |

These scheduled days off tell me that the team feels they are in no danger of missing the playoffs, and I agree with them. |

Thats the point
If AD's foot is legitimately sore after this then he is done for the rest of the year. Apparently, he didn't have structural damage, so now its just a pain tolerance deal. he needs to play.
Bron is either hurt, gassed or being saved for something. That something can wait especially against a team without their best player. we need wins. They can leverage the all star break for rest. _________________ Kobe.

Age and fragilities are the banes of the Lakers. LeBron is aging, that's a fact. He's in great shape for a man his age but it is what it is. AD is just fragile. He's always been.
I like the teams fighting spirit and sticktoitiveness but that won't win ships. I see a solid core that can be built on. It's time to look at a future without LBJ and maybe AD. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

This is ok for me as Ham will be able to field in some of the guys like Wenyen and Max so they can see how they will fair with Rui in the lineup. At least Ham will have an idea on how to use those 2 amd stop fielding his dreaded super smallball (bleep). I still really think Lakers win this even without Bron and AD. Nets is just too weak right now without KD, even the spurs and pistons beat them.

I hope I'm wrong but I think after the last game vs the C's to sit out this game means the Lakers are done. A person can be angrily motivated after something like that or than can be discouraged and give up.
Looking at the standings the Lakers can't afford to give up a game...so to do so, the Laker players, AD and Lebron specifically, looks like they have given up.
When we look back at that Keltics game it will serve as an example of the season that could have been but wasn't...close losses but players that just didn't get it done...for whatever reason...flawed roster, ref cheating, load management, injuries, bad coaching.
Whatever the reason ends up being, this year the team just doesn't have it and we will see the fight gone from this team from here on out and this game was the turning point. _________________ “When it looks as if it is a realistic possibility, I want to focus on winning a ship like it’s a goal that can’t be denied. I think that we will still see the team fighting for wins until at least the trade deadline. I’m guessing that the players know that the playoffs are an uphill battle and if the FO doesn’t bring in reinforcements then maybe we see less effort going forward. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

As expected! Quote: | Mike Trudell (@) LakersReporter
In the absence of both LeBron and AD, Rui Hachimura will get his first start for the Lakers tonight, via Darvin Ham. |

And there is the issue.
“Some really significant soreness” doesn’t mean you just miss the Nets game sandwiched in between primtime game @Boston and then @MSG.
Either you are legitimately injured or you are not. LeMind can’t make up his mind.
Edit: and I don’t doubt that he has nagging injuries. He’s LeGrandpa, so you cannot build your team around him and day to Davis being your 1/2. It’s honestly that simple.
