All everyone seems to care about is the record and we are 5 games under 500 in a Loss.

Nothing personal but the only person I've seen saying this all night has been you. Everyone in the game thread was upset about the game, the level of play, the coaching, etc. I saw absolutely no one who cared more about the scoring title.

An individual record in a team game means nothing

For 1 night yes.

Some of you act like this team has puta premium on winning. They haven’t. Fo to players. If we continue this will be 3rd lotto in 5 years.

Stopping the game to celebrate LeBron’s record as if we just won the championship, all while losing to a tanking bottom feeder, was the perfect summary of these past two seasons with LeBron.

In this particular instance…yes it was. The NBA marketing Tf outta the record tonight before during and after should make it obvious.

Really wanted to win, but the record was the priority for the basketball world tonight…as it should have been.

The Lakers are the tanking bottom feeder. OKC has a better record

This. Sincere congratulations to LeBron, though. But...yeah.

I'm just surprised no delay of game violation was called.

The loss sucks. But it's only one game in a long season.

People are going to focus on the monumental achievement of breaking the record today.

I thought I was the only one who felt this way… it felt like receiving a participation trophy tonight.

Thunder have a better record than LA. Thunder are trying to win the tie breaker so they can have a playoff or play in spot over them.

We are fighting an uphill battle with a hungry Bucks team up next. Apparently Lebron is also having foot issues as well.

That tanking bottom feeder is ahead of the Lakers.

If that was the priority then the NBA world should be celebrating.

I respect the lifetime achievement for James. Amazing to see the record broken.

But as a Laker fan I’m disappointed with the loss. Critical game in the standings and the team plays with no urgency. Giving up 133 pts? 20 turnovers?

Priorities are all f’d up with this team.

Embarrassing!

Would it surprise anyone if he chose to sit out the majority of remaining games.

Season is over. Nothing to play for the rest of the season. Once he plays in the ASG I could see him shutting it down.

I'm not a LeBron hater, but it almost seems fitting we lost the game in which he broke Kareem's record when you consider how much we have struggled since he pushed for the Westbrook trade.

Sincere congrats to LeBron. But I just cannot consider him a winner and champion on the same level as MJ, Kobe, Magic or Bird, and maybe some of what the haters say about him being "LeGM" is true, although I do think he really does care about winning rings at this point of his life.

Something needs to be done to get this team onto a much higher level ASAP. Otherwise, what's the use of having LeBron and AD on the roster?

I don't have a problem with stopping the game... and Bron played brilliantly until he broke the record.

I have a problem with the incredibly sh*tty defense... getting beat on hustle plays... AD played half ass... Rui didn't play until the fourth quarter... Russ played hard but out of control... Schroder reverting back to his minimum wage contract.

Just a terrible loss.

Brilliantly? We/he played zero D, turned the ball over and didn’t set anyone up. He impressively scored

The dude is 38 years old... he didn't stumble to the record... he blasted past it.

This loss is on the rest of the team.

Now if you want to discuss how much LBJ is responsible for the construction of this team... that is another story... but he played really well for a man his age.
