Let's give the Maloofs a little slack......they don't have much in the name of championships (except for that WNBA title ). Let them celebrate a little.

I mean it's like if Lucy let Charlie Brown kick the ball.

Let Chuck do the throat slash....how many chances does he have to smile?

the lakers-sacto rivalry is dead. i'm sorry, neither of these teams are doing squat this year. the lakers completely ripped out their hearts the only years sacto had a legit shot to win a title. sacto fans will never forget the 2002 wcf. they seemingly had that series won 3 different times. the horry three will haunt them for eternity. i just get a chuckle about how pumped sacto is for moving past LA and into the number 7 seed. i mean, wtf?

but in all honesty, the lakers have their work cut out for them. i don't see phoenix losing reign of the pacific diviosn any time soon, and the la clippers should be a 50-55 win team next year with any kind of decent health. and apparently, sacramento is better then us, too. mitch kupchak has his work cut out for him.

Kings Fan please refer to the above ass whooping you recieved in the posts above. You guys even complained about the refs in the seattle series, I still remember Adleman saying the Sonics were playing to physical for them and the refs were letting it go. Jerome Feakin James was muscling people around? Kings will always be rememberd for their failure whil Lakers for their achievments. Every time the Kings lose a series and that is every year they biatch about the refs, the reason your team lost each of the three years is b/c the LAKERS were just better. We had finishers and guys with balls while you had C WEBB and Christie and Peja. Thanks Kings fan I was feeling down about the loss but then you remind me that at least Im not a Kings fan b/c nothing could be worse. At least Clipper fans never get their hopes up but you can tell that all Kings fans have been scarred from their experience in 2000-2002. Its not easy taking that kind of trauma over and over and over again. Count your blessings laker fans

The Lakers and their fans don't cry about the officiating when they lose? Lol, that's hilarious if you really don't think you guys do. You've never heard of Phillip criticizing the officials during a playoff series? It's amazing how quickly you can criticize other teams and their fans for the same things you do. That's hypocrisy at it's finest!

If we're done talking about the past, we should talk about the present then right? And I believe that the Kings are a much better team then the Lakers and have a better future ahead of them. The Lakers have Kobe, Odom, and a bunch of scrubs. Bynum could be a force in a couple of years, but for now he's stuck to the bench. I mean you have guys like Sasha, Luke Walton, Kwame Brown, etc., etc. as integral parts of your rotation. Brian Cook is the softest big man I've ever seen in the league. I mean we were playing him with our 2 guard for god's sake. And a journeyman as your starting PG.

The past is the past right? I'm loving the present and the future for our team. Unless you guys can trade Brian Cook, Sasha, and D. George for KG, as all Laker fans claim they can. Laker Fans can't believe how the T-Wolves would ever turn down a deal like that. Just because you gave up your superstar for 2 and a 1/2 scrubs (I'm counting Kwame in that deal because you traded a good young player in Caron Butler for him), doesn't mean that another team that has a GM with 1/4 of a brain will. By the way, gotta love Kupchak.

You win Laker fans, I'll stop talking about the past, only the present and future from here on out!!!

Now back to the subject of this thread, and about how classless the "Magoofs" are. Does "Laker Fan" have any legs to stand on when it comes to an organization having any class? I mean for years we've heard classless insult after insult from the Lakers. Your beloved "phillip" makes it a point to say something classless about Sacramento, the team, the coach, etc, etc. nearly every time the teams meet. I mean the guy referred to an opposing coach as Hitler for god's sake. But you guys seem to conveniently forget all of that. I'm not condoning what the Maloofs did with the throat-slashing, but I don't think you guys of all people should (bleep) and moan about the classless act.

Next, your going to attack me for coming on the Lakers board, while being a Kings fan. I see less then a handful of Kings fans on this board, yet every single Kings board has tons of Laker fans posting on it all day everyday. If you don't believe me, feel free to check out sackings.com. It seems as if Kings fans aren't the only ones concerned with the Lakers, seems like there's quite a few Laker fans that feel the same way about the Kings.

As far as Game 6 of the 2002 WCF Finals is concerned, I won't say that the League flat out fixed it. However, there has got to be something peculiar about the officiating when fans from every other team in the league feel that it was the worst officiated 4th quarter that they've seen. You guys can continue to live in your own little world, and feel that nothing unusual happened. I remember watching the game and couldn't believe what I was seeing. Not the fact that Kings lost, but the fact that every single call in the 4th quarter went against the Kings. It's true that the Kings ultimately didn't overcome the officiating, but if any of those calls had gone the other way, the Kings would've won the series.

Game 7 was called fair-and-square. The Kings lost because of their ability to make free-throws and hit clutch shots down the stretch. I've never forgiven Rick Adelman for leaving Peja in there down the stretch when he had missed the whole series because of injury. That air-ball that he threw-up was a big time choke job.

As of right now, I honestly feel that the Kings are a superior "Team" then the Lakers. I didn't feel that way pre-Artest, however since then our record speaks for itself. It's going to be an exciting finish to the season and we'll see how it all pans out.

It's been a while since someone has posted this tired urban myth here.

What about Games 2 and 5 of that series moron? You remember those don't you? The two that the officials won for Sacramento single-handedly?

I won't even go into the fact that your deluded fans actually applauded the fact that Kobe Bryant was intentionally food poisoined by a deranged hotel worker.

No class, no argument, no rings.

You are a cow. Now go Moooooooooo!

Phil nudges the refs b/c it pays off in the end, our coach (whom your owners chased after this summer) has been doing this for years and it has seemed to work. We dont actually biatch about one or two games specifically. All fans biatch about the refs but Sacto just cant get past it and its so funny b/c if you have watched game 6 multiple times you can see that the calls were pretty fair. Keep in mind everytime Vlade falls down its not a foul. Since you definately cant argue the past all you want to do is talk about our team in their current state, but we can do that as well. The Kings are so good this year that they are the 7th seed in the west, oh my god you guys are such power houses. Most Laker fans admit our team isnt that great this year but the beauty of winning championships is that you can reflect back and think of the good times. I understand you cant do that b/c it would just bring back HORRIBLE memories for you. Back to the present, your team is the 7th seed and have a solid .5 game hold on that position. Do you really think your team is going to win a ring or maybe even a series? Ill answer that for you, no. How about we look at the future as well, your team might or might not even be in the same city and your best player stated that he didnt even want to play in that town but was forced to. You think hes going to stay in Sacto when his contract is up? Good luck with that. Most Laker fans dont think this years team is all that great, but we have Kobe, Phil, LO as a foundation with a good amount of cap space in 2007 and the only reason we even care what Sacto does now is b/c they are in the playoff race. Sacto fan wakes up thinking about the Lakers no matter what the situation, that would explain your presence here. Good luck with the season b/c no real ill will from me, why would I?

At least the Lakers were expected to be in the bottom half

Fans from every other team hate the Lakers as much as the Kings fans do...no wonder they thought something was "peculair"about the officiating. Remember...nobody roots for Goliath.

On the front page of the sports section in the Sac Bee today...nearly a full-page color photo from the game last night. I don't remember that happeneing even during the playoffs! A regular season game vs. the Lakers??? Geez! Inferiority complex at its finest.

[quote="BayAreaKingsFan"]

The Lakers and their fans don't cry about the officiating when they lose? quote]

All teams and their fans, complain/cry about officiating when they lose.

But its another thing to still be whining about an event years later.

A true championship caliber team would use it as fuel to drive them to go back and win it the next year. What did the Kings do? They were the heavy favorite the next year? Did they lose then because of officiating too.

Part of the disrespect has to come down to a player both teams shared. Divac. If anything, its karma with all the bogus calls that came from his over-the-top flopping, that drains any kind of sympathy if you take a longer of that Kings team.

There were laker players, like fisher, who flopped too.

But you have to be pretty myopic not to recognize Divac was in a class by himself, especially in the Kings non-title glory years. Title glory year would be back in '51.

If you're looking for sympathy here, you came to the wrong place.

A standing O for that? You guys are certified losers. I bet you Sac fans even got a parade planned this weekend for you guys victory over the Lakers huh? * shakes head* We'll get that ass on the 22nd, wait and see.

"He's awesome," said Artest, who didn't garner the same praise after he had seven turnovers to go with 18 points and 10 rebounds. "He hit that last shot, and I was like, 'Damn,' but then I was like, 'That's Kobe.' "

Artest's son was even more in awe. After some had noticed Bryant and Artest didn't shake hands beforehand, the mutual respect was apparent afterward, when Artest ran down a hall to catch Bryant. Artest's son, 4-year-old Jeron, desperately wanted a picture with Bryant, who happily obliged.

Artest understands and Kobe is a good dude. That's from the SacBee this morning.

Blame the refs for the entire series why don't chu? Let me throw some stats on your a$$.

Game 1:
Fouls: 20 LA, 25 Sac
FTAs: 22 to 17 LA
Doug Christie: 6 fouls, hey that happens when you guard the best player in the league, he can't guard a PTP. Divac and Webber each had 5, and that happens when you guard the 2002 Shaq too. Too bad you guys sucked on defense because you allowed Shaq to corral 9 assists
Oh yeah, Bibby shot a horrid 7 for 21, and Hedo shot 0 for 8 and Kings lost 99-106. Go figure.

Game 2:
Fouls: 31 LA, 25 Sac
FTAs: 38-25 for Sac. Lopsided? Give me a break.

Game 3:
Fouls: 28 LA, 19 Sac... in LA... fixed what?
FTAs: 35-15 for Sac. WHAT?
Unfortunate Kobe... Kobe fouled out, Kobe??? Say thank you Steve Javie, Benett Salvatore, and Don Vaden. They were there.

Game 4:
OK here is where all Laker fans just point and laugh. I don't even think I need to recap. OK well I guess I will
Fouls: 24 LA, 23 Sac
FTAs: 27 to 26 for LA. I think it's normal LA should be at the top when you foul Shaq and you have Kobe on the same team, yet the Kings are right there!
OK OK, I should also mention Samaki Walker's 3 at the buzzer (Kings fans thought it was Devean George LMAO)
Did I mention Robert Horry?

Game 5:
Oh hey back in Arco
Fouls: 27 LA, 20 Sac. WHY THE #@%! are you complaining?
FTAs: 33 to 23 for Sac.
Shaq fouls out in 32 minutes and we lost the game by a point where Kobe was fouled on the last shot . Say thank you Flopper-Man, and Joey Crawford! (Other appearances include Jack Nies, Bill Spooner)

Game 6:
Fouls: 24 LA, 31 Sac
FTAs: 40 to 25 LA
I'm sorry, you can whine all you want here, but it's hard to argue when Divac and Scot Pollard foul out and Shaq just dropped 41 and 17 on your ass, along with Kobe's 31.

Game 7:
The Great Escape
Fouls: 25 LA, 30 Sac
FTAs: 33 to 30 LA.
This game was in your hands until the Sacramento Chokers went to the CHARITY STRIPE. 16 of 30 LMAO Refs gave them a chance and they blew it. Peja 3 of 12, 0 for 6 from downtown .

Can you say owned?

You know, folks say that we have a RIVALRY with the Queens, but I think we have more of a Rivalry with the Spurs, because we have beaten each other. Like Kobe says, they've never beaten us to advance in the playoffs. What we have with the Queens is bad blood, not a rivalry. btw...anyone else enjoy Phil's quote last night:

"I'm trying to think of a Queen song." LOL!

And am I mistaken, or after Kobe scored that last shot, did Phil actually slap him five? It was hard to tell, because someone cut in front of the camera, but Kobe sat down on the bench, Phil was standing in front of him, pointing at him with his right hand, and Kobe reached out and gave someone five, but I couldn't tell if it was Phil's left hand or if someone was standing the other side of Phil...It was when Kobe was showing Phil how he was getting hacked on every shot.

Also, anyone else notice that in previous games during timeouts, kobe wouldd sit on one side of the five guys resting, Lamar on the other side with the other three in the middle. Lately, especially down the stretch of games, LO sits next to Kobe. Matter of fact, Kobe pulled on Lamar's shorts and motioned to him to sit next to him at the end of the game in Cleveland. I know, I know, reading too much into things, probably, but kind of cool, no? I love commraderie.

They dont have much in Sacto so give them a break. These peoples lives revolve around the Kings who by most standards have had the worst playoff experiences for the last five or six years. They were beaten by us three years in a row which must have driven those people crazy. Then the year it looks like its going to be their chance and they lose to Dallas. The next year they lose to Minnesota in seven games, and last years Seattle experience was about as bad as it gets. They were out muscled by Jerome James IF i were a kings fan I would go crazy during the regular season as well b/c they know when the playoffs start that its going to be a horrible outcome. Let Maloof do his little throat slash it means nothing to us, but if someone from the Spurs did that we might get a little more upset b/c we actually have respect for their organization. Theyve beaten us in the playoffs and weve beat them, so there is a mutual respect and rivalry (even though we suck right now we will be back and Im sure the Spurs will still be there). Kings fan has nothing, he refuses to look back b/c of all the horrible memories so they try to live in the moment b/c what other option do they have. I guess you could compare their hatred with Laker fans of the early eighties when we couldnt get past the Celtics, but of course we beat them and the rivalry formed. The Kings are yet to beat us in anything substantial so dont worry too much about anything that goes on over there. Its fun for the fans to have somewhat of a rivalry game but I just cant bring myself to hate the Kings. What have they ever done to us to make us hate them? So lets forget about all the other BS and focus on our team. In all honesty Id rather be in the 8th spot than the 7th, b/c I can picture us stealing a game or maybe even two from the Spurs and definately giving Dallas a run for their money. We are still the eight seed and NOK and Utah arent scaring anybody at this point.

Us Kings fans remember the past, and respect our past teams. It's easy to win when you have the commissioner of the NBA pulling for you. The 2002 WCF should have never gone to 7 games. First 6 games had lopsided officiating. The last one was even, the kings fell short on free throws, but that game should have never have happened. IT's amazing the Kings got as far as they did with everything being fixed against them.

I guess you don't remember the bad calls against us in sac.

I just have a question for you. Why do u guys jump up and down like you've won something after every made basket, every miss by the opposing team, ect... I was at the game and its pretty comical seeing you guys celebrate so much over such small things. I guess thats how it is when you've never won anything. Wait I take that back....u do have a division championship

He's Kobe. He's just that damn good. No need for excuses. Oh yeah and why are you so upset? Kobe only attempted 7 FTAs a game. He started out averaging 3 or 5, but then kicked it up to 7 at the end. Nice try though.
