We can give our insights on the game and give suggestions it's not to early to start it.

How many of you would have lost money on the USC/UCLA game? Or said we would slaughter the Bucks? Kobe may not play tonight so it's an Odom led team with Mo filling in for Kobe. Subtract Kobe's 25-50 points from any of our totals and see that we should be very careful of getting overconfident about beating any team.

OT- did you see that Zach Randolph had 31 and 13 against Detroit last night. Not bad.

KObe will play, but will be only a decoy, but it looks like the Hornets are injured, and that will cost them greatly. Lakers win by 7 points.

I would like to see the Lakers go on a winning streak. Something more than 3 or 4 game winning streaks...I would like to see a 7 or 8 game winning streak. So lets keep this going tonight, and beat this team to make it 4 in a row...

Injury Update, Noklahoma: Bobby Jackson has a cracked left rib and will be out for tonight's game. Two other starters, Peja Stojakovic and David West, are out as well.

I sure hope Kobe sits tonight.

Lakers should be able to win easily without Kobe.

We were supposed to win easily against the Bucks with Kobe.

NOklahoma starters:

Desmond Mason, SG
Marc Jackson, PF
Tyson Chandler, C
Rasual Butler, SF
Chris Paul, PG

Tyson Chandler isn't much of a scoring threat, so Kwame had best concentrate on covering for Paul and Mason, who will get into the paint early and often. Lakers as a team will have to focus on rebounding, as Chandler and Paul will aggressively chase every miss. Butler assumes Peja's role, creating space for penetration by taking outside shots. Though Mason is an exceptional athlete, he still doesn't have a reliable shooting game. Without Kobe in the line-up, Mo Evans will have his work cutout for him tonight covering Mason. Chris Paul is what makes this ragtag team dangerous, and a triple double threat on any given night.

True. The key word is "should" but we all know the Lakers have a history of letdowns against lesser teams.

I wish people would stop saying this like it's something the Lakers are known for. Every team in the history of sport has had bad losses to teams they should beat. In 1996, the Bulls went 72-10. 2 of their losses came against the Nuggets and Raptors, teams that went a combined 56-108. It happens to the best of teams.

Duece isn't originally from the U.S. and English was not his native language. And that, combined with his general bipolarism, leads to some pretty "unique" word combinations! Right now he's on the "good fans are always positive" kick. This is the same guy that frequently wanted to "bash player X's head in with a shovel" if they missed a layup or had a turnover as he posted under his myriad of screenames over the years.

Aww ... Let bygones be bygones Tee.

There's FAR, FAR, FARmar worse on LG right now ... infact I can name 5 of the top of my head who have made it ten times worse than the OP ever did in the past.

Mr. Lakeshow - next game thread try "The hungry beasts are ready to feast" ... I think that is the best slogan to go with.

Lets hope Lakers take advantage of a Hornets team that is injured and on a low right now ....

no way we're losing this one. Kobe should sit this one out.

Lakers 113
Hornets 89

Lamar 25 13 8
Kwame 18 12 2 blocks, 2 steals

Im just real worried about our visit to Texas. The road will be quite a test, but at least we got some cushion!!!

Go Lakers....
