Theres a chance both of them will stay, and if they do, that means better chances for the teams in the bottom part of the first round to get good palyers. If they dont, teams better do their scouting to find a good one. Question is simple, if both stay, which player goes #1?

You know mike, that seems to be the popular choice, but if memphis gets the #1 pick, who knows because of gasol. Unless one can really handle playing center. It might be one of those decisions wether to draft by need or just draft the best player available.

Gasol wants to leave. Gasol makes great trade bait to get a stud swingman to compliment Rudy Gay at SF.

Nothing against any of these kids, but if neither of the big two declare...its going to make for a weak top pick. I like Horford's game, but he isn't a superstar, Noah is exciting but not someone you build a team around. If these scouts that call Wright the next Bosh are correct...hes the guy you'd build around.

As for Gasol, if they pick Wright first, you could deal him somewhere for a true PG and C. It sounds funny for the Bulls to get younger, but if they revisited the Gasol deal, who's to say they don't give up a big package for a pick swap as well. Maybe thats what it takes to get a Deng, Gordon, Nocioni, ect... and still get a project center (Hibbert, Hawes, Thabeet) with the Bulls pick. Picking first and dealing Gasol for picks/contracts could set them back a few more years, so maybe the best short and long term plan would be for these two teams to work something out. Chicago has a lot of extensions coming up so it may not be a bad thing having a very young bench, you can't keep all thoes guys under the cap.

What if Oden, Durant, Wright, Horford, Noah, Green, Hibbert, Thabeet, Hawes, Young, Brewer, Ship, Mata, and Collison all don't declare either?

DJ Strawberry could wind up being the #1 overall pick.

If Gasol were to stay and Memphis gets the #1 pick, their team will be ridiculous.

Of the players I've seen aside from Oden and Durant, Jeff Green has impressed me the most.

Personally I would take Brandon Wright, but Julian Wright is pretty tempting as well.

Brandan Wright is staying? Or Julian? I know that Julian has decided to stay, but haven't heard anything regarding Brandan.

Green was way too passive today. He has the skill set but not the mentality to be a go to guy.

Ah. Ok.

All signs pointed to Brandan entering the draft, so that caught me off-guard.

I don't get it....if Oden and Durant don't declare, why would it help the teams lower in the draft to get better players? Doesn't that mean they would lose about two spots??

And true, if these two don't declare, the #1 pick may end up being a bust, only because it's no one else really standin out like that.

I said if they dont declare, teams better do a better job at scouting because it will be harder to find a good player towards the end of the first round. If they do declare, teams at the bottom have a better chance at getting a better player than they would if oden and durrant didnt declare.. At this point its still really hard to know who will declare and who will not.
