Hey all, since its summertime and I'm a little bored these days, I was wondering what tv shows are worth dling for me to watch? I'm a huge entourage fan, but sadly I'm up to date and have seen evvery episode 3 times. Also the show is ending soon for 9mnths. With that in mind what are some good shows out there for me to download? Ive heard stuff about Sopranos, Arrested Development and House. I want something light though...maybe like a comedy? I've heard alot about a show called "arrested development". Any suggestions would be great, thanks

Also, FOX released a show called "The Black Donnelys" which I heard was amazing, but it got cancelled because of the ratings. I think that was because it was right after Prison BReak and 24, and had a terrible time slot. Anyways, anyone seen this show? thoughts?

honestly...your best bet is DVD. the only show worth watching on the tube right now is entourage.

if you get any of these shows on dvd...you'll be enormously pleased. plus watching tv shows on dvd is better bc you can watch it whenever you want at your leisure. these are some of the best comedy shows ever:

-Arrested Development
-Freaks and Geeks
-Undeclared
-The Office (UK version)
-The Office (US version)

Arrested development is great. I never saw the Black Donnelys but im pretty sure it was on ABC not fox.

If you haven't watched Heroes I would catch up on that for the upcoming season. Shows come back at the end of September. Lost and 24 come back in 08. In terms of comedy I don't know of any good current comedy shows. My name is Earl is decent nothing spectacular.

I personally enjoy Smallville and Supernatural on the CW Thursdays. Smallville has been on for 6 seasons Supernatural 2. I started watching Big Brother this season pretty good its 21 episodes into Big Brother 8 and they shouldn't be hard to download since they are recent. There's 3 shows every week Sunday(8pm), Tuesday(9pm). and Thursday(8pm). Other then some of the shows you mentioned well I also watch Southpark which is genius just download random episodes I have every episode of every season downloaded in rm format which only takes up 5.6 gbs in that compressed format great for archiving. Other then that I only really watch Sports.

Ill probably add some shows to my tv lineup this season seeing some of the commercials. Journeyman looks interesting especially right after heroes and Prison Break. Moonlight maybe. Pushing daisies eh maybe ill download the pilot. Bionic Women Ill give a shot. I'm tired of shows getting cancelled on me though I watched the Nine, Daybreak, and Studio 60 last season all cancelled only one that aired the whole season was Studio 60 months after a long hiatus.

The Office
Top Gear
Californication (over 18)
Flight of the Conchords - Unique sense of humor. Love the show, but the past 2 episodes were weak. Got resigned for 2nd season though.

not a reflection of the show whatsoever. it shows you how much influence marketing, time slot, and support from the network means to a show having success.

for one, it was never in a good time slot. it was often put up against monday night football. who's gonna win that matchup?

also in such a intricate, interwoven show...it became difficult for people to pick it up without watching it from the beginning. arrested really relies on you knowing the characters from the beginnng. same with The Office. if you watch both those shows...a lot of the jokes rely on the fact that we know these characters and we know their personalities.

that's why these shows are so popular on dvd. viewers can now watch the show from the beginning and get the whole scope of what they're trying to do. to be honest i didn't watch arrested development until i saw it on dvd. didn't even know it was worth checkng out while it was on tv. bad marketing.

I like The Wire... can't wait for that to start back up again. Weeds is pretty good too. And love Curb Your Enthusiasm.

I watched a few episodes of the "Black Donnely's" and wasn't thrilled with the show. It's online on abc.com

Lost
House
Firefly
Rescue Me - Great show, surprised no one has mentioned it yet.
Scrubs
Old reruns of That 70's Show
And I did like Drive for the 4 f***ing episodes that FOX aired.... stupid FOX cancelling all the good shows because they put them at crappy time slots. I swear they set some shows up for failure. Any one remember Andy Richter Controls the Universe? Great show... cancelled. Family Guy.... cancelled. Futurama..... cancelled. God I hate FOX.

I've been liking Damages. Glenn Close is awesome.

I'll also re-iterate The_Lakers_Show's pick of Rescue Me. Great and completely under-rated show. For those of you who like Entourage, the conversations the guys in the firehouse have are more of an adult version of Entourage type conversations.
