Kobe should have had 14 assits in this game. I hate when our scrubs miss wide open shots and layups and then miss the foul shots too. _________________ Kobe Bryant has brought the Lakers three championships, 4 Finals, carried an absolutely pathetic team to the playoffs in a loaded Western Conference and has given us countless thrills and memories. If you are not a Kobe fan, then you are not a Laker fan. |

Key points:
LO didn't take one outside shot.
Kobe another balanced game.
Good rebounding by Bynum
Another good game from Ronny.
Phil still has messed up lineups. |

Relax. Everyone misses shots sometimes. Kobe missed a few himself.
Bottom line?
Kobe played well. The Lakers as a whole played well. The Lakers won. That's all that matters, unless you're making fantasy basketball a priority. _________________ Jeffs

lamar the dude plays hard every second he's on the floor.
i've said it before and i'll say it again: no one looks to set up andrew for buckets more than kobe.
28 assists. _________________ "i was born down in the valley where the sun refused to shine, but i'm climbin' up to the highlands, goin' to make that mountain mine" ~ Lakers, 2011 |

For everyone complaining about that sequence where we got out rebounded, and wishing Ronny was in. Mihm 10. Ronny 2.
That's rebounds.... |

with Bynum starting now. Screw this 2nd unit crap. Start the best players. Didnt seem Mihms ankle stiffened too much when he was put in at the end of the 2nd.
Fisher (26)
Kobe (38)
Odom (38)
Turiaf (26)
Bynum (32)
Bench:
Walton (24)
Rad (18)
Farmar (16)
Kwame and/or Mihm (16)
Evans and/or Sasha/Critt (8)
Thats how the minutes should be broken down. Its just not that hard to play the best players most. |

Always a positive!
Nice Win! Let me write down that big W on my schedule! _________________ "This is Kobe's legacy, the Lakers," Jackson said. "This is where he's grown up and gotten married and had kids. It's like we're still devoted to seeing that, hopefully, being a part of what he is." |

Good to see Odom back, he still needs to play defense, Kobe had a solid game but I expected a higher fg% even though it was 49%.
He still needs to cut down on the turnovers, but he's playing great defense.

Lamar Odom: 0-0 3PT.
I can't emphasize how pleased I am with that. |

Seriously, I think Odom can be a decent 3pt shooter in this league...but WHY? He just dominates every match up on offense inside the 3pt line...GO INSIDE BIG MAN, GO INSIDE./ _________________

That's good to see him attacking constantly, but he needs to show he can consistently knock down the 3 ball so he's not so predictable about driving and usually going left. He needs defenders to respect him so they don't slack off and always expect him to drive. |

Don't exactly agree that Odom need the 3pt shot so he is not predictable.
He needs an outside shot but what is wrong with a a midrange shot 15 to 18 ft out? Worked great for players like MJ, Karl Malone, etc. It is sad that since they brought the 3 point shot to the NBA the midrange game has practically disappeared.
In Odom the Lakers have a 6'10" guy that is a triple threat, in that he can pass, drive, and shoot a midrange shot, that is scary to a defense. Odom should be doing his damage from 18ft on in. He does that all season, Kobe's got his #2 option and his all star. Odom played the exact type of game Lakers needs from him. |

BSPN sucks. Just watched the preview to NBA fastbreak and they said Kobe had his worst game in(6 years I think it was). I didn't get to watch the game, so I expected Kobe to have one of his bad shooting nights going like 5 for 25. But they claimed it was bad just because he scored under 20. Looking at the box score it looks like he had a good game. |
