Wow, just listening to that ABC announcer talk about Kobe, the officials, and how he wouldn't call it when Kobe was fouled was a real eye opener. I didn't realize how badly Kobe was hated by some. This explains why the refs swallowed their whistles when we were fouled, and blew them freely when anyone touched the holy Lebron. This game was ours, and the refs stole it from Kobe Bryant handing it to their false god Lebron. |

The game was in Kobe's hands:
2 missed Ft's
Missed Layup
Passing up the last shot to play patticake with Luke.
Quit deflecting.
Let's also throw in a cool 4-15 shooting 2nd half if you want to throw things in.
Lebron had the same opportunities and he made his.
2 clutch shots
2 clutch ft's to ice the game.

To be fair to Luke. Kobe also played like a douche down the stretch with all that one on one that got him benched. Then at the end, his spin move right into Larry Hughes.... what space did he see? There was no space for a spin move. That was so strange. |

Only the Knicks game?? What about that Cavaliers game a few years ago, where he couldnt inbound the ball properly. Jeez, why not just add another one to Waltons horrible late game,final play fumbles. Seriously it drives me crazy when i hear these analyst "Walton has really high basketball Iq." He might be more anticluch the lamar odom inside 2 minutes.

Luke is a coward. For him to not shoot when he got the ball from Kobe tells everyone what we already know about his mental makeup. The guy did not want to take the shot to tie the game. Still, Kobe absolutely choked on that layup attempt. I don't know why he went up on that shot so passively. I think these are the same refs that stole that game against the Cavs 2 years ago. I certainly recognize one or two of them. |

Regardless of plays prior to the last one, you gotta blame Luke for not shooting it. The fact is Kobe gave it to him with enough time to shoot but he again lacked the confidence to even attempt the shot.
JUST SHOOT THE BALL NEXT TIME LUKE, EVEN IF YOU GET BLOCKED!!!! |

So Luke screws up two critical possessions near the end.
Gibson trips and loses the inbound, Luke gets the ball AND IS WIDE OPEN 5 FEET AWAY from the basket and then passes the ball to Kobe who is blindsided by LeBron. Nice one Luke.
And then the final dagger in the coffin. Kobe doubled, passes to Luke who passes it back to Kobe as the final horn is sounded.
Ugh. |

Luke is a coward. Just shot the ball. If he misses it, so be it. But he has take the freaken shot. Fish takes, Sasha takes its, Vlade takes it, Farmar takes it.
Luke didn't lose the game, but he had the chance to potentially extend it. All these fragile-minded players are gonna kill the season over the next 2 months. |

Philsy with a terrible coaching job on that last second play. Farmar and Sasha should have been in the game. Luke is a wimp who didn't want to take a shot, so ship him out! Farmar and Sasha at least will have the guts to take that last shot. So disappointing that Kobe choked on that layup attempt. I still don't understand why he didn't go up strong. |

On the 27th of January. Come one come all! And see up-close the seven-foot giant named Kwame and his freakishly small hands.
Observe the tantalizing techniques of Lamar the magician as he disappears completely in the 4th quarter!!!

I don't blame Kobe or Luke, it was an abysmal play call that at best gives a very poor shooter the longest 3 pointer on the floor. You know Kobe's going to get doubled, and Luke is your outlet...from the 3 pt line??? with the game on the line?? nice play call Phil. _________________ The heroes of the past are untouchable, protected forever by the fortress door of time-unless some mysterious stranger magically turns up with a key. |

He shouldn't of even been in the game.
If they were looking for a 3pt shot, they should've had Farmar and Sasha in there.
If Phil drew that play up, that was a horrible call. You want Luke to take a 3pt shot to tie the game. The guy who's been lacking confidence all year, and doesn't shoot well from that range unless he's wide open or on the baseline.
Terrible call period. And if it wasn't drawn up that way and Kobe was passing it off to him expecting him to put it up that's dissapointing too. Luke, Lamar... they don't have killer instincts in them. Robert Horry's, Brian Shaws, DFishers they are not. |

Kobe should've made that layup, but you're right. Luke had a clear lane to the basket and could've gotten a foul or an easy layup with Kobe blocking out LeBron, but the coward passes up the shot because he's a freakin' wimp. He didn't want to step up. Him and Lamar never want to step up. |

Walton wasn't really setting a pick. He faked the pick, slipped and tried to get open for the three. The problem in a nutshell:
1. Cavs played it well;
2. Luke doesn't have the ability to get off a shot quickly,
3. Luke isn't someone who jumps high when shooting a jumper, making his shot easy to block;
4. Points 2 & 3 plus Luke's mental makup (pass in the face of adversity, damn the game clock) spell doom.

Luke sucks...I'm so d AT mned tired of hearing about his "high basketball IQ." All he knows to do is pass when the pressure is on. I wonder if his name was Luke Jones or Luke Smith whether or not he would even be a starter, or even on this team? _________________ Defense is my business, and business is good! |

Kobe trying to trust Luke to put that up from 3 is NOT the same as Lebron passing it up and trusting a 3pt shooter like Jones/Gibson/Marshall.
Horrible read, design of play or whatever that is whoever came up with that. |
