Stu Jackson and the officials used in these playoffs are the MVP so far.

Honestly, I would rather see Vlad than Luke in this series. Vlad, at least, helps spreads out the defense.

Not lately, they won 2 in Detroit but yea, the lakers need all three.

Lakers become so mentally unstable at times, it REALLY hurts them.

Detroit was beat up by then tho. Lakers are still intact and will win the next game for sure.

the recipe for the rest of the series in my opinion is:

win game 3 with great defense...force boston's role players like powe and cassel to struggle...doc will quickly lose confidence in, at least, powe as someone that can't get it done on the road

game 4: due to lack of role player performance in game 3 for the celtics, doc messes with his rotation and boston doesnt find a rhythm in the game and gets blown out

game 5: kobe and pau dominate in a game that cements their status as elite championship caliber players and the lakers win a hard fought game with clutch play in the 4th quartere

game 6: boston opens up the game very well but the lakers take control of the game by the mid-3rd and close the game out in the garden

i hope that is what happens...luke needs to be kept off the floor and radman needs to play bench mintues with ariza starting and odom playing better ball

Wow, just wow! Today we've witnessed the most egregiously, hypocritically manipulated game by the nba ever played out in the history of mankind. Unfreakin believable how the end played out exactly as I called it, after a nice comfortable lead was generated by the confidence instilled in the Celtics thanks to the worst officiating ever seen, they coyly swallowed those whistles against the Lakers in the 2nd half, and allowed the Lakers to play long enough to just about catch up, then with the game almost in total jeapardy brought out the whistle just in time to seal the already decided victory for Boston.

I've been watching basketball for 25 years and beleive me this is not the 1st time where it seemed like the calls were in favor of just 1 team. Get over it quick laker fans. We need to hold court for 3 straight games.

This loss stings so much because we almost came back and won. The referring this came was some of the worst I have ever seen. I blame Radmonovic and Odom for this loss. If we hadn't let Powe get that wide open dunk, or foul Pierce, we could have won this...

We have no business to be able to get that close... yet we did. I'm happy we at least found some groove.

I'm very sad though that we lost. I was hoping we can win this and make it a best of 5 series.

From the moment our run got us close, I knew in my bones that we'd lose the game on Paul Pierce free throws. I knew it.

This isn't the first time Ken Mauer tried to screw the Lakers. Remember Lakers-T-Wolves when Shaq got 3 or 4 fouls in the first half?

the disparity of the fouls are incredible. Kobe takes it to the basket gets no call. So he doesnt take it hoop and doesnt get the call. I mean its completely disgusting....41 points in the 4th quarter..wow..almost pulled it out

I hope to see more Kobe drives on game 3, like what he did on the 4th quarter.

I've been watching for 40 and this is the most egregious I've seen yet, by a landslide. And I thought Detroit in 04 was bad, I must have forgotten just how bad that was.

Phil always gives the best post-game...exactly, who cares which Celtic team shows up, if the good Lakers team shows up, they will easily beat the C's.

Phil should have said, "Who cares what Celtics team shows up, who cares what Lakers team show up. I want to know the 3 officials for the next game."

Phil said 19-2 ft disparity in the 1st half. Hard to come back from that. Leon Pow, more ft's then the Lakers team himself in 14 mins of play. He's never seen that in his life.
