The good news is Colby Karl is the best player on the team. I guess that is also the bad news. Worst game I have ever seen. Detroit didn't look so hot. I didn't even know who the Lakers coach was, not Rambo or Jimmy C, no one I had ever seen before. Tex was there. Mitch was there, no on booed this year. Mitch walked by after the game, I should have said "Pay Sasha". Lakers lost like 80 something 60 something. Crawford did not impress. Saw JC on memphis looked good as did Conley and of course no Gasol.

Thanks for sharing your scouting report.
A few comments:
1. The name is Coby Karl, not Colby Karl.
2. There is no reason to boo Mitch this off-season, right?
3. I am glad you didn't shout that to Mitch. I'd love to have Sasha back, but not by overpaying him.

Bynum just doesn't look the same.

I tried to watch it. 6 or 7 minutes into the first quarter we still had 2 points. Looked like really undisciplined ball to me. Most of them can't shoot to save their lives and their free throw shooting is just as suspect. I would hope that any college player could knock down an occasional free throw.

SL games are always undisciplined. Its all about people jacking up as much as they can in a poor attempt to get on an NBA team.

All I can say is, no wonder James White didn't stick in the league.

I actually liked some things that Cedric Boseman and Crawford did. Coby did a lot of things that made it obvious he was more comfortable with the offense, where to get shots and where to go.

That being said, I don't know if anybody makes the team except for Coby. Only the first game, but we'll have to see if anyone starts to show promise.

Yes there is no reason to boo Mitch this year, I mentioned to contrast to the feeling people had last year when they saw him. I think last year people were even yelling at him to get it together. Last year he looked like there was a black cloud over his head. This year he strode into the Gym like he owned the place. Sorry about th spelling of Coby. I am an engineer and am good at math, spelling never really my thing. Last year he was watching the games intensely like he really needed to find something. This year more like he was watching a high school game just to pass the time.

I watched the game on NBA TV and wasn't really impressed from what I saw. Coby definitely showed that he has experience in the offense. Our offense did look horrific. Terrible shooting from the floor and from the foul line. Stuckey, Johnson, and Affalo did play for Detroit. Samb actuallyll had some nice moves in the paint. I believe he's up to 215 now. He definitely needs to add some weight. I'll gladly give him some of mine if I could. We'll see how they look in their next game.

In SPL you foul out after 10 fouls. Penalty also kicks in after 10 team fouls.

Between the teams being a collection of raw kids who have never played together and a bunch of refs who are learning themselves, there tend to be a ton of fouls, especially during the first game of the season.

It's summer league. The refs were calling everything last night. You could hear a guy in the stands after a call yell "ITS SUMMER LEAGUE!" to the ref.

Keep in mind that it was his first game under the triangle. I wouldn't look too much into it, especially since the guy was the 58th pick in the draft. He'll be lucky if he makes the roster.

3rd to last pick in the draft.

Just keep in mind that the SPL team this year has maybe two guys on it that will even make it to camp much less wear a Laker uniform next year.
