What's up with the Lakers rotations?

Crawford did a good job of getting in the lane that time.

If Karl doesn't make the team it will definately be his fault, the Lakers are giving him all the pt in the world. They definately are giving him a step up on the other players.

from what I'm seeing in this game..

coby karl will be resigned
bozeman, crawford, and dunston all have potential
dwayne mitchell has a perfect nba body (maggette like) but needs to be more aggressive

hopefully next game we can see more kemp, yi li, and davon jefferson

Karl played 33 minutes and was 4-13 with 16pts, not bad.

But why is Crawford playing so little?

He played 12 minutes. But he was 4-5, 1 reb, 2 asts, 1 stl, 2 to, 9 points.

I don't see anyone outshining him when he is on the floor. Give him minutes so we can see how he does.

+1

I agree 100%. Frankly, I think Crawford has been the best player on the summer league team so far. Yes, Karl is scoring a lot of points, but he is also getting a ton of minutes and a ton of shots.

I'm also keeping my eye on Brian Roberts and Dunston. They both seem like sleepers who could bust out.

Karl wasn't bad, just his shooting and his defense on Mayo.

I liked what Dwayne Mitchell did out there. If he keeps it up, he might get a camp invite, but that's most likely where his time with the Lakers would come to an end.

Caner Medley brought some good energy out there as well.

I guess the Lakers are trying to showcase Coby Karl. He's getting more minutes than he deserve and all he does is chuck the ball everytime he touches it. Frankly I am tired of us not giving guys who have defensive potentials the chance to shine.

The way I am watching this summer league is for players who are good defensively. I didn't pay much attention to him in the first game, because I was looking at how good of a defensive player Crawford is, but Dwayne Mitchell is a very good defensive player. At first I thought maybe it was because he was guarding Mayo that was why he was trying, but the guy is solid, especially that steal on Mayo was NOICE. He's 26 so I doubt he has anymore upside, can't really shoot the ball and is more of a slasher, but the guy can play defense. If it was up to me personally, I'd give him and crawford more time and see how they do defensively. We don't need anymore three point chuckers.

Crawford is a pretty good defender as well, not as good as Mitchell but he can hold his own, and has a pretty nice stroke, it will be a shame for him not to at least get a camp invite.

Then are they not playing Crawford because his position is secure or because they've already made up their mind not to take him any farther?

I think they are giving Crawford a camp invite no matter what

he's the best player there and most effective (per minutes played) compared to coby karl (lots of minutes and shots) they are probably just gonna give him similar minutes throughout the SL and let others have some PT

I see four players doing well Karl,Bozeman,Crawford and Dunston.Mitchell has no handles and is pretty much a black hole on offense.

bingo. im sick and tired of all these white players getting all the playing time on the Lakers squad in both the summer league and nba just cuz they "know the offense." what a bunch of bull (bleep).
