Chef - It's fine to take the player and then get back to me on season.

You're a gentleman and a scholar, Sky.

(is it too late to butter up the judges? What kind of scotch does everyone drink?)

If Stig and Mich get in shortly, I'm here to make my pick. Sky, give me about 10 minutes after my slot begins to jump in, otherwise, if you could take the top guy on my list that would be fine.

Just checking in to say that I'll be here to make my pick live when it's my turn. My not having submitted a list has a lot more to do with indecision than laziness.

At 7'1 and weighing 250 pounds, he was among the most intimidating players to ever play ANY position in the NBA. He dominated any statistic he wanted, even leading the league in assists one year, from the Center position.

Even at the tail end of his career he was an unstoppable force, shooting 65% and an astonishing 72% from the field his last two seasons.

More importantly, he averaged 19 and 18.6 rebounds per game in those final two seasons, and still managed to score 14 and 13 points per game.

Perhaps most importantly, he was still an excellent passer from the blocks, dishing out a solid 4 dimes per game.

The Bemidji Rock Stars are proud to announce the addition of Center, Wilt Chamberlain to their roster.

A quote from Mr. Chamberlain:

"Bemidji? I think I already slept with all the women in Bemidji, dammit!"

72-73, I think. Might as well go with that ridiculous FG%.

I apologize for the delay. Some of the players I thought would still be left have been taken, and I was torn between picking a "second tier" big man to compete with all of the other bigs drafted, or selecting a first tier guard/forward.

With the 16th pick in the 2008 Lakersground ATL Draft, the Santa Barbara Gauchos select an aging but nevertheless potent Jerry West (71-72).

Quote:
An excellent playmaker, West also led the league in assists per game during the 1971-72 season. Although steals weren't recorded by the NBA until West's final season, at age 35, West became the first player in the league to ever record 10 steals in a single game — still the Lakers franchise record. Heralded as one of the most legendary clutch shooters in the NBA's history, West averaged 29.1 points per game in 153 playoff games, including 40.6 in 11 playoff games in 1965, in 1969 he became the only losing player to win the NBA Finals MVP award.

West played in nine NBA Finals, but finished his career with only one championship, won in the 1971-72 season, the year the Lakers established a modern North American professional sports record of 33 straight wins. He retired two years later, after leading the Lakers to yet another Pacific Division title in the 1973-74 season — this, in spite of the loss of legendary center Wilt Chamberlain to retirement.

Stats:
GP: 77
PPG: 25.8 (47.7% FG, 81.4% FT, ??% 3PT)
RPG: 4.2
APG: 9.7
STL: Projection?
BLK: Projection?
TO: ?

Well, technically, 2 hours from the last pick is within the 10 pm time frame. So shouldn't there at least be one more pick?

The clock ends as of 10 pm. Wherever the pick is at that point the clock freezes. Pivot has 30 minutes to make his pick tomorrow or it's time for Mr. Roboto.

I agree, but everyone has their own gameplan, especially with the salary cap restriction and a couple of all-timers set to be FAs. Don't knock the strat til you see it in action.
