i hate nadal too! He seems like one angry dude. Federer is just so smooth and classy. And nadal is just (bleep) relentless, its like playing the wall! Everything is returned.
I too prefer to watch Federer play the game - so much grace and elegance - but the fact is Nadal is one of the best players ever at doing what he does.
Grind it out.
He digs in deep and brings a physical presence that I have never ever seen on a tennis court.
Just a brilliant player, and he deserved.
Was sad for Fed, wish he can break Pete's record. I am not a big tennis fan, but have become more interested in watching the game since Nadal and Federer have emerged.

Great tennis match. It was great to see McEnroe and Borg taking it all in right there in person. _________________ "A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste" - United Negro College Fund 1972
Actually, funny you should mention that, but Rafa and Pau are like two birds sitting in a tree, they are both very good frinds, and Nadal is a huge Laker fan as a result. The original clay court king from Spain, Sergi Bruguera, is actually a HUGE Lakers fan since childhood.
That was the best match I've ever seen. Since Agassi retired, I started to become a Nadal fan. Some people I know were telling me that he's only a clay court player. I disagreed with them. Two years ago @ Wimbledon, he lost in straight sets. Last year @ Wimbledon, he lost in five sets. His game on grass has been improving. This year, he wins in a match for the ages. He showed some great resiliency. He had a chance to close it out in the fourth set tiebreak and Federer showed a lot of heart and why he's a champion. Five years in a row he had won on grass until today. Nadal was the first player since Borg to win the French and Wimbledon in the same year. They're both very classy guys and I can't wait to see them face each other in the future.

I also thought Rusell Brand of the movie FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL looks like Sasha. _________________ A proud member of LakersGround.net for over 10 years [since April 28, 2001]
actually when I was watching the game I kinda remind me of my feeling when I was watching the Lakers Celtics series... I am a Roger fan so I was rooting for him. It felt like Roger was Lakers and Nadal was Cs:
Roger was very claim through out, there is not much fist pump and screams or celebrations... he try to get his business done Nadal was well like the Cs pumping his fits and jumping around.
Nadal just seem to have more bounce and Roger thou I always felt he could come back (just as I had hope for Lakers) Nadal just seem to have that little bit in him.....

I am sure he is... but just the feeling I got from watching the game... the contrast of both players and similarity to the Lakers and Celtics finals....
