|
|
Kobe had his 19th ,40 point game, i believe i heard that jordan had 27 in 86-87.
* The overall record actually belongs too wilit with 60 or something like that. But many of wilts records are broken down into after wilt because their so ridulous and stuff.
*I believe M.J has 27, cant remember correctly , either that or 28. |

Kobe won't break it...he might get close tho. I'd say he gets 25. |

You might be right, but I've learned never to say the words "won't" or "can't" after "Kobe". |

I think Kobe can break that record. He seems to get 30-40 very easy in most games. 30 he gets when he passes in the first half. 40 is when he picks it up a little. All he needs is what 9 more games of 40+. I think he can do it. There is like 20 games left. He can manage 40 in half those games. |

M.J had 128 , 40 Point Games!!!![b]
Ahh i had too count through everyone of his games , but i got it, i may possibly be a few here or their off, because i counted it manually.
I didn't include the 50 point games he had , so if u can include those as forty too, then jus had in 39 and i think 2 60 some games.

I think Wilt had 271 40P-games. But lakers0505 is about right, Jordan does have that many 50P-games. |

M.J is literally sick, when u look at his numbers, their barry bonds like , in the current day , but without the roids/cheating, (F u Barry, Retire) .
When is kobe getting his first MVP , m.j had 5 i think, 6 finals, Defenive player, 3 time All star game Mvp, all stat game 1 and only Triple Double, own a galore off Finals records including 3 pointers made and attempted.... |

No need to worry about MJ : he is considered the GOAT by many for good reasons.
Kobe is going to break his own records and have his own legacy.
There are already Kobe records better than Jordan, like 81 or 4th quarter points or stuff accomplished at a younger age : Kobe is going to do his , no matter what MJ did |

Kobe has his 3s record, his 1-half records, he has way more range than MJ ever did. Jordan was a more of a midrange, dominating-all-quarters-consistently guy plus he was a much better help defender while Kobe is good on the ball. |

With all the questions we have being asked here, you would think this site IS the Elias Sports Bureau. Thanks for the interesting stats and comparisons though. |

Well, it's unfortunate, in a way, but the rest of the team is so inconsistent that Kobe almost HAS to score 40 to ensure a victory, and sometimes even that isn't enough.
So can he break Jordans record for 40 point games in a single season? If he wants to make the playoffs, he's going to have to. It's not as if it's difficult for him, anyway. _________________ "It’s like going to the Getty and standing in front of Van Gogh’s Irises while some schmuck next to you critiques individual brush strokes. I agree with Luke, Why compare Kobe to Jordan? Kobe has his own ways of being the best and hes gonna be recognized for his own achievments.

Huge difference here guys. Kobe must score 35 plus for this team to win. If the Lakers make the playoffs, it will be because of Kobe scoring 40 more often than not. |
