Yeah, trying to say KB was basically doing the same thing AI is doing in Philly was pretty funny. I like how Pip and Marc Jackson had to let him know he doesnt have much of a clue. |

Pippen and Jackson pointed out that AI is fighting to be .500 in the very weak eastern conference, while Kobe has taken an equally untalented team and brought them to 5 games over .500 in the strong western conference.
I laughed harder when Walton earlier mentioned Shaq as one of his MVP candidates. Does this guy follow the game or just read ESPN? _________________ Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst. |

Especially Mar, when he said the difference was AI was in east and under 500! _________________ "Hate that I'm a veteran and a champion, hate that.

Kobe's chances at MVP are improving tremendously. Can't deny that. _________________ "You Must Be Willing To Give Up That Which Can Be Lost In Order To Gain That Which Cannot Be Lost." - FORTUNE COOKIE |

equally untalented? philly has a roster filled with a lot of talent. it just hasnt all meshed together and some of these guys are being held back by playing with iverson. andre iguodala is the biggest victim of playing with iverson, iguodala is the closest thing personally ive ever seen to scottie pippen with his passing ability and defensive intensity. but he never gets to showcase his guard skills because he never handles the ball, hes essentially been regulated to merely being a finisher. then of course u have a fantastic defensive anchor in dalembert who is being wasted in a horrible team defensive scheme. then korver, one of the best shooters in the game, and of course webber who is still a great high post player and passer. philly has all the components to be the perfect team to run the triangle(minus iverson) and they should be much better than they are. if anything, iverson is holding that team back. |

I've been pimping Igoudala as the Next Scottie Pippen since he was drafted. He has the necessary handles, athleticism, passing, defense, finishing ability, etc to match anything Pippen ever did. He just needs to find the perfect system and niche in that system.
Playing alongside AI is not conducive to a player growing. Hell, C-Webb is quietly having a 20-10 season, and AI is still a loser with a very complete team. The only guy that doesn't really "fit" the team, is AI himself. _________________ Stephon Marbury on Kobe: "He's the only person on 'dis earth that can do 'dat. He guards people, like shuts 'em down. I haven't seen the passing ability nor handles from Iguodala that you're all claiming he has. Take care not to exaggerate what he can do. The talent is there, but he hasn't shown the court vision anywhere close to that level. Defensively is where the potential clearly exists.

u dont see it because iverson is the only person touching the ball on that team. iguodala is just on the wrong team, and he has guard skills in handles and passing ability. if the sixers were going to maximize everyone's talent, they would have iguodala handling the ball, with webber in the high post, and iverson scoring off the ball. iverson off the ball has historically worked better than this disaster that is iverson the point guard taking 30 shots. but of course iverson wont have this because this way he can get his 35 points and 9 assists. u'll see iguodala blossom when he can actually handle the ball and not merely be a dunker on that team. he is already averaging 3 assists per game without even getting the ball often. |
