The Clippers have not beaten the Lakers in a season series ever since the franchise was renamed in 1978. They've tied us about half dozen times including seasons during our first dynasty.

The last time the franchise beat the Lakers in a season series was back 1974-75 season when they were still the Buffalo Braves. The only player on the current roster who was even born before then was Aaron McKie who was only 2 years old.

Continuing a proud tradition.

That was the post Jerry West/pre-Kareem season. A true rebuilding year.

Jim Jackson was also born before then (1970). But since he and McKie barely play, they don't count.

You're right.

I checked back and ther Lakers lost the season series against the Clips 2-3 during the 1992-93 season. Another serious rebuilding year.

D'OH! You're right. I neglected the fact that they played each other 5 times instead of 4 in some of those seasons.
