Welcome Mr. D'Antoni!

I am happy about this. Our offense will be incredible and he will bring a defensive specialist in. Phil might have been a better people person but he was not a better x's and o's person for this team. Nash will be unstoppable now.

Edit: turns out he's a bum who can't coach.

I'm not welcoming (bleep) on a stick until bigger people report this. And even then, I'll be on Jim Buss' lawn with a pitch fork and not welcoming this no D clown to the team.

Mike D'Antoni signed a four-year deal with the Lakers. Phil Jackson was "asking for the moon," accoring to source familiar w/ the situation.

If this is true, this team will win zero championships. Building the offene around nash = proven loser.

You are kidding me. One extreme to another. Pringles is now our coach? For FOUR YEARS?!

Please someone tell me this is some Twitter joke or folly or something...

Nash, as much as I am a fan of his, is not the most important player on the team. To hire a coach just because Nash had his best years with him, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

This sucks!

This cannot be happening, ugh. We don't even have the three point shooters to even begin to make this work, not to mention the fact that his D is nonexistent. Oh, and Nash is damn near forty. Not wise to rely on him to take that much of a load on offense.

We'll see what he does with the team. I'm a little worried though.

He did say he would rededicate himself to teaching Defense if he were hired.

This is shocking, but I'm also kind of excited. Prepare to score 110 points a game. And give up 109.

Times Reporter confirming a times reporter. That's not two sources or good journalism.

Either way you could be right.

To people criticizing the OP...you need to get in touch with 2012. Articles written on ESPN are outdated and twitter is the real source of immediate news these days.

Also, Bresnahan and Adande are as official and legitimate as they get.
