just a question...what is with the trend of the nba becoming less physical and more reliant on shooters and high scoring teams? personally the whole no-defense, consistent scoring on both ends gets pretty tiring to watch.
any ideas? |

There are a lot less talented players to begin with not to mention these high scoring games get a lot of viewers.
The NBA is totally watered down most of these teams wouldn't even win 2 games against the all time great teams. |

It is going soft because of all the fans in the league (like many on here), whom cry about EVERYTHING.

It is all part of the "internationalization" scheme that Stern is following like Mitchell chasing the '08 cap space dream. |

Seriously, I use to love the days of the "real" detroit bad boys, power moves and trash talk. When complaints about fouls were for "legitimate" reasons and not made after every play. Or when you didn't get a tech for staring someone down after a good play. The NBA has definately gotten soft over the years. Its the reason that so many "kids" are able to survive in this league. Back in the day (pre 1995) you'd never see the top picks of the draft split between college freshman and McDonald's All-Americans. _________________ "Basketball, there is nothing else." -Kobe Bryant |

It's soft. Although the number of moving picks and screens are rediculous (or different rules apply for Cleveland and Phoenix). |
