i also see this as a changing of the guard.

the mavericks are the team to beat. we must have more upgrades. point guard to deal with all the speed and experience these guys have. and inside position.

They really were. It was so obvious throughout the series that the Mavs were the superior team.

I just like to see the game decided by the players and to see the best team win. Unless it is the Lakers, who I just want to win no matter what!

If they do, maybe the luckiest WCF run ever.

The Lakers lose a 3-1 lead and are one rebound from winning the series.

The Clippers have Game 5 in the refrigerator until arguably the worst coaching decision in NBA history by Mike Dunleavy allowed the Raja Bell shot that is going to very likely cost the Clips the series.

Phoenix is living on borrowed time, Dallas should be able to work them easily.

The Mavs were the better team throughout the series and really controlled and dominated the 4 games at At&T Center. The Spurs were actually fortunate that this went 7 games. By the way, the dead quiet in San Antonio right now is sweet to feel as a Laker fan!

I think Mavs will win it all this year. They split the series this year with Detroit and Miami hasn't beaten them since Shaq arrived.

Ha ha, I hope they realize now just how difficult it is win back 2 back titles, let alone 3-peat.

congrats to the mavs, they were the better team. I'm pulling for them to win it all. Cuban has put a lot into his team and I want him to get a ring.

Dallas beating SA feels so good. Especially now that I live 20 miles from SA. Can't wait to hear their sports show on AM 760.

Texas Pete,
Don't know if you heard Don Harris tonight? Humble as I've ever seen him but I'm sure the excuses will be flowing tomorrow. By the way, shouldn't see too many Spurs flags around town anymore!

Oh, hell yeah. "We overcame a 20 pt deficit but..." "We showed heart but..." "Timmy was fouled on that last possession in regulation but..."

EFF the Spurs*!!!

Couldn't agree more! These fans thought Game 7 was automatically in the bag today in this town. Yes, the excuses are in full force already! Like I've stated numerouse times in the past, the Spurs will NEVER be considered one of the great teams of all time until they at least win back to back titles let alone 3-Peat. Great, you win one here and one there but you have never withstood the challenges of trying to win two or three in a row. Have a nice off-season Spurs fans!

YES! we still have this decade.

and if we pull of a couple more at the back end of this decade, we would still be considered the team of the new millenium

Yes this is a historic aspect i was following, had the spurs clinched their 3 rd championship, it would have been difficult for really any team, too be viewed as the dominant team of the decade, because it would have been 3,3,1. lakers, spurs and detroit. If the mavs can keep one away from the pistons, our chances too dominat this decade go up considerably. The spurs are on the decline,miami...how old is shaq?, Detroit, big ben is already 31, and for all their hoop la, they only have 1 ring..can u say overhyped?

I'm pulling for them to win it as well. I don't want any team to win three this decade (except the Lakers of course).
