This doesn't actually qualify for the Hall, but . . . .
Dwyane Wade: A+
He may be old, he may be washed up, he may be on a team that will struggle to make the playoffs in a conference where anyone with a pulse is a contender. But Dwyane is taking us new places. He's the Jedi Master of Flopping. "Flop you must."

The Euros know how to get it done. This is an all-around fine piece of work. It looks so real that I had to watch it three times on full screen mode just to be sure that the league got it right. Other than the opposing player, I doubt that anyone else in the arena knew that was a flop.

I'm really not sure how to grade this one. To be honest, I'm not 100% sure that it was a flop. He may just have fallen down in a rather clumsy manner. Giving him the benefit of the doubt (?) that it was a flop, it was a pretty lame one.
Clearly, he learned something from his last stinker. This actually looks real from the right angle. Gobert does give him a little push. The resulting dive is sublime, and he gets the call. Is a first quarter non-shooting foul worth five grand? Well, he must be a team player. There is no I in flop.

The thing about those flops is that CP3 almost never gets the call. I might give him a B for the successful flop on Scola, but the rest are Cs at best. When it came to flopping, he was more of a poseur than an artiste. Guys like CP3 give flopping a bad name.

the best place to flop is coming off a screen, because the ref is less likely to keep an eye on that, and reacts to the outcome more often than not, that's where cp3 is at his best, although lillard might have caught up, that kid flies off screens like there's a sniper in the house. _________________ I believe everything the media tells me except for anything for which I have direct personal knowledge, which they always get wrong
Poor stuff here. It's not a believable looking flop, and the ref has the perfect angle to see it. He doesn't get the call. He leaves Pau wide open for a jump shot. This would be an F if Pau made the shot. You'd really think that a Brazilian would do better than this. Ronaldinho would have gotten the call and blocked the shot. Pele would have gotten a flagrant 1 on Pau. I guess Nene is the David Luiz of the NBA.
This is pathetic. With a little guard like CP3, the helicopter move just looks silly. For someone like Hairston, it is an eye roller. Really, he paid five grand for this? He had no chance of getting the call unless some ref wanted to stop the game to laugh at him.

Yes, there's contact, but Roy Hibbert is not a human wrecking ball. Andre hits the ground like a soccer player. He gets the call. Best of all, this came in the dying seconds of a tie game. The Pistons get the ball back, and Drummond scores the winning basket with a second left. This wasn't just a flop, it was a game-winning clutch flop.
Clearly, Brewer has been studying with his teammate, the bearded sensei of flopping. This is superb. It was athletic, it was fun to watch, and he got the call. I'd give him an A, but I just can't go that far for a flop when you're trailing by 22 on your home court. Where were you in the first half, Corey?

This thread is floptastic. I'd love some Harden posts if possible. I'll do some looking as well _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”
EDIT: The YouTube video is wrong. Cousins was not ejected. It was his sixth foul. Still, Chandler gets an A+ for that one. He gets the call, fouls out the other team's best player, and dodges a flop warning. Even Wade would be impressed.
Fine effort here. Sure, he's a Clipper, but he did it to the Celtics, and he got the call. J.J. doesn't always get the acclaim of CP3 and Blake, but he's always had a flair for the flop.
