A house of cards must necessarily crash and burn. It'll be fun to watch him lose his power |
I rooted for Walt until the very end and I'm going to do the exact same with Frank |

I managed to see the first episode before going to bed. I thought it was a bit slow, mostly because it focused on Doug, who isn't really interesting to me. I think everybody thought he died in the S2 finale, but he didn't. Apparently Frank is a very unpopular president, and his approval ratings are lower than the previous president's rating, which is impossible, considering those approval ratings were impossibly low as well. But I'll go along with it. Nice to see Stephen Colbert. Let's hope we see less Doug from now on. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid! |

Is it just me or does the theme song seem to be getting slower every year? There's probably some kind of symbolism there. Maybe it demonstrates Franks rise to the top -- quickly at first but it gets harder and slower the higher you get. Then maybe when he comes tumbling down, the theme song will pick up pace again |

The opening scene with Frank pissing on his dad's grave was hilarious |

Yeah that was a slow episode. Will watch episode 2 later on and see if it picks up. |

I noticed that too. I liked the first season's version a bit better than the next two, but it's still a fantastic score. |

Watched 6 straight episodes. Gonna take a break and maybe watch a couple more later on today. Probably finish the season by tomorrow or Sunday. |

Just finished House of Cards season 3.
No way that's the series finale.
I think there will be a season 4. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

First three episodes were kinda bleh but it really picked up in episode 5 and episode 6 was amazing. Only seven left now...
Such a binge-watch worthy show. I wonder if I'll get anything done today lol _________________ Kobe |

Well just finished the season. Started pretty slow that's for sure but got a lot better with the second half of the season. Better than season 2 imo. |

Just thought of something this season reminds me of. It's like we're watching Season 5 of 24 from President Logan's perspective |

I didn't think season 3 was very good. Definitely the worst one in my opinion. And the problem with the way Netflix does stuff is if they put out a bad season they can't fix it until a year later. |

I thought it was better than season 2. I really didn't like season 2 and it lost me halfway through the season. Plus it was very predictable. Maybe if I watch it again I might like it more though. When you binge watch a show in 2-3 days, it really depends what state of mind you're at in those days. Maybe when I watched season 2 I had a lot in my mind or something, don't remember. |

Stakes get higher year after year, everything else stays the same in alot of ways.

Spoilers:
Much better than season 2 (that whole Tusk-fest got boring), though I didn't like how so much of season 3 was devoted to Doug. It felt like I was watching "The Stamper Hour" at some points. I don't know what the whole Rachel storyline was for unless Doug's sociopathic tendencies are going to eventually bite Frank in his psychopathic arse.
At the least, Michael Kelly would make a great adversary in the next season of Dexter
Good cliffhanger though. I'm wondering if S4 is the final season, can't see Frank winning if Claire leaves him for good. Though it will probably go 5 like Breaking Bad. |

Also, House of Cards still has that disjointed vignette feel to it that I can't quite place. It's like all of the characters besides Frank are cardboard cutouts run by an AI that JUST about passes the Turing Test, but not quite (Lars Mikkelson is as real a character as we've had thus far besides Frank IMO).
Still a top class show to be sure, but the writing team could benefit from a guy like Aaron Sorkin...(they make all the West Wing references anyways so why not). |

I'd put season 1 at the top if only because the show's tricks were new and novel back then. 2, as I said already, bored me due to the whole Remy/Tusk/Whatever the President's name was/Frank battle that was so utterly predictable. 3 got closer to 1. |
